  • IA, I'm the promising youngster equivalent of young Kevin Lisbie.

Disappointed with myself to be honest. Mrs AFKA has just pointed out I've fallen into the lazy hack brigade of focusing a Chris Powell article on race.

And all the stick I've given Mihar Bose as well....

    Boom boom !
  • Psychic RM here........yes a prediction from me at this time of day!!! However thats because the BALLS have been a bit wayward recently and so when I arrived home from work I immediately got them out and asked Mrs RM to weave some of her 'magic'............and boy its so much better than first thing in the morning!!! So with my balls ready and raring to go its time I let them 'burst forth' with their prediction..................a tight game but the addicks step up thier game and show just what they are made of.....Jackson and Solly back is what they are saying and as Mrs RM rubs furiously who am i to diasagree..............2-1 addicks BWP and Jacko on thew scoresheet in front of a full house.............which includes good old RM himself!! So thats it...........after a long hard day at work........my balls are ready to retire and sleep for a day or two having performed so magnificently over the last 30 minutes!!!
    Night all!!! LOL

The team will play like rabbits for 20 minutes and then realise CP is right that Stevenage are ordinary and take them to pieces 4-0.
  • Blimey Better Red, I only wrote this in my lunch break and already people are lifting and twisting my proverbs.

    I blame Twitter :-)
  • I think Ruth Gendler, the Swedes and Franklin D Roosevelt could say the same about you.
  • Tweet from FDR :“There is nothing to fear but fear itself.”

Wise words, which SCP may care to borrow for his pre-match pep talk on Sat !
  • Just got back home from a thoroughly enjoyable evening at the Dubai Cricket Stadium, watching England lose to Pakistan. Hugely vibrant crowd with plenty of banter & a fun time was had by all. Sadly, I cannot see the same thing happening at the Valley on Saturday & I am forecasting a 2-0 defeat in front of another disgruntled bumper crowd.
  • 4-0 BWP ha-trick Green with the other

  • we will batter them and look good but the luck gods will not be looking on us and a 0-0 or 0-1 will have us all double confused and chips

  • i'll guarantee at least a point by getting on the 11/4 being offered on stevenage. (though the last time i tried to buy a result was the 4-4 against the scum which managed to feel like a defeat as well as lose my money).
whilst on the negative betting trail, i'll also back sheff utd to win the title.
  • i'll also back sheff utd to win the title.
lol i had a piece of hudders earlier on in the season just before their slump and had a bit of sheff utd this week
  • hard fought, char 2 steve 1
  • Can't see past a 2-0 defeat
  • As I have guessed easy 3 nil wins the last 2 games I will go for a hard 1-1, and hope to be proved wrong yet again!
  • 0-0 football-free bore draw sends the crowd home happy. One aim.
  • This has all the signs of the kiss of death and the club have got this wrong for once.

£5 ticket promotions have produced some of the worst Charlton performances in recent years and should be scrapped. Its a great concept in theory but everyone turns up expecting to see a rout and the pressure builds if we are not at least 3-0 up by half time.

At this critical time of the season with form a little wobbly, we just don't need the distraction of a ticket sales promotion. Save it for if/when promotion is secured and there is less at stake.

I would rather double the ticket price and secure a 3-0 win in front of a half empty stadium or just let all accompanied kids in for free if we want to get the next generation interested.

Stevenage are a very good side with no glamour or football heritage which is a dangerous combination as Spurs found out.

And brother of Grumpy is going which is always a disaster.

Saint Chris may need to call for AA roadside assistance after a bumpy 0-1 home defeat.

He is proving to be a great manager but his Achilles heel might be making the right changes quickly, when things are not quite right.

He must have learnt this from Curbs then.

  • In my car I have a small pair of boxing gloves that basically read ' HIT BACK...CHARLTON '. That's it, no more messing about, I want to see 11 people wanting to play for the shirt. I want to see how much they resent the way in which we lost the game at Stevenage, and I want to see us up front driving into their box with speed and technique, forcing fouls because we have three people very capable of converting the resulting free kicks or penalties. If I see all that I expect 2-0 to the Addicks, with CP making decisions in his head and not his heart. This is possibly the most important game of our season, we know that there are nice guys itching to play, but for me the only change would be Hughes back into the midfield.
  • 3-1 BWP X2 & Solly
  • Perfect game for us against Stevenage to put in a convincing performance in front of a bumper Valley faithful to enable us to hit the final hurdle of the season with a long dash to the finish.
  • A tight 1-0, I can't see many goals in it. Not sure which team will get the 1-0 either...
  • i hope we win but cant see them losing twice in the same week , first loss at the valley this season
  • Blimers ! Now I know how Grumpy got his name !!

All I will say is that JJ & Wiggy ( brilliant blokes !) are confident of a win on Saturday and if they're confident, then so am I .
  • After we lost to Stevenage I think BWP said we owed them.

Us 5- them 0 - Hat for BWP, Dale and Hollands
  • It will all end in tears...

I predict The White Swan will be as rammed as The Oak and it will be difficult to get served (but I will eventually get served, unlike the Oak).

I also predict that my row of seats will be used as a walkway for everyone wishing to sit above row DD in block N. The barstewards were even directing the feckers along our row FFS. I politely requested they go up the gangway to their row but he insisted that what he was doing was actually correct.

    I prefer 15k crowds. :-(

    Love and peace, Victor X
  • Thousands of people wanting a pint of real ale won't bother coz either they aren't aware it's on sale, know they won't get served in time or don't like Courage Best.
