But I think the point Adam is making Ross is that the club are missing a massive track by the kit not being available this weekend.....and it wouldn't be the first time this has happened. I agree that (even in the Premier years) that the Merchandise dept has always fallen well short of the clubs stature.
My guess, and it is just a guess, is that we have a kit deal. Otherwise why announce the early ending of the Macron deal.
But we don't yet have a sponsor deal signed and sealed. Could be wrong. Could have been signed months, weeks, days or hours ago. Kav said in the programme a few weeks back that they were in talks.
On "missing a trick" of course the Club would much rather have all the deals done and shirts ready for sale as early as possible but if the deal isn't done it isn't done. Hard economic times so maybe getting the right sponsorship deal is taking longer than hoped. Should they take the first offer they get so we can see a shirt v Hartlepool or hold out for a better deal that takes a bit longer?
Of course if we had stuck with KRBS and Macron it would have been easy but that's not what most people seem to want.
Ross is right that kits have to be signed off months before they go on sale as a slot needs to be found in the factory's schedule and the stuff shipped over from China and that takes time.
Personally I'm not bothered if we wear the new shirt on Saturday or not but I know a lot of people think it is very important.
What I'm pretty sure of is that the people at the Club will be more frustrated by any delays (if there are any) than any of us and that they will be working very hard to get things moving ASAP
Ooh now await the Charlton Life lottery, that last post is going to be the most offensive thing ever posted and will deeply upset a few (and then the following 50) posters or it will be hilarious. I can't take the suspense.
That is spectacularly garish! Really want to see ours now.
Why do they all come out at different times? Were we waiting to see if promotion was secured before negotiating with the sponsors? Or even the kit maker?

Rather it was all sorted all at the same time
Cheap shot. Sorry.
How does a club with the most hideous strip in the league manage to outdo itself and make it even worse? Quite an achievement, really.

Not sure if this has been posted yet but here's the new Rangers kit http://www.rangersmegastore.com/rangers-mens-home-shirt-2012/13-ss-[pre-order]/home-12/13/shop/fcp-product/3137 really like the retro look, maybe we could do something similar around one of the anniversarys of our cup win
I'm not into buying shirts these days, but if our away shirt had been similar I would have bought it a few years ago.
Should've read "South London My Arse"
I really like that. Not sure it would look good on a man with my Physique though !!
