Food in the celebration suite

edited February 2012 in General Charlton
Got 2 tickets for the celebration suite from the Mrs last night (Very happy)

Wanted to get an idea on what food they serve?

Also does anyone have experiences about the suite?

Comments

  • Heard you have to wear a 3 piece suite
  • Ive been to the Celebration Suite a few times and always enjoyed it, the food is usually soup for starters then a choice between Chicken or Beef carvery, then a selection of different puddings, you can set up a tab for drinks and pay up at the end of the day, they can also have a drink waiting for you at half time/full time, you also get a free programme and team sheet and the seats for the game are right behind the commentators/journo's at the front of the west upper
  • Thanks for that.

I'll be wearing a 3 piece suit plus a long top hat.

Do give a wave to the East Stand ! We'll be able to see you as no-one usually moves a muscle in the West Upper !

  • Have a great time. My wife quite enjoys the Celebration Suite - nearly as much as the Greenwich Suite.

By the way. Don't wear a tie with your 3 piece suit as there will be comments made by fellow lifers. ;-)

  • went there in september for the exeter game, 10 out a 10.
  • Our very own Bart went in there for his birthday bash a month or two back and said it was top drawer.

  • Maybe I'll leave the suit at home. (Not that it was every going to be on.

Sounds like it gets really good feedback. Cheers guys.. Who will be the Charlton legend?!?
  • Any veggie option? Or would I yet again be left disgruntled at an establishments utter disregard for my kind?

    Don't mess with Fanny !

  • Went on Tuesday Cray.....
Good time, food good choice of roast beef, or sausages.
Thought the bar a little expensive, well organised, and a good evening.
We were the last to leave, and my 'group' stated that they enjoyed it so worth the money.
    Theo Foley was the legend/host.
Smart but casual, as the saying goes.

    ditto

  • Food was good, but make sure when the last home game was as the beer pumps had not been pulled for three weeks. Bar that, a good time had by all.
  • My Dad and I eat regularly in the Celebration Suite and they did start to offer a vegetarian option, but I don't remember seeing it on the menu on our last couple of visits. One tip, if you don't want the gateau, you can order cheese and biscuits, but it must be ordered when you make your booking

Have had Theo Foley and Bob Boulder before that, both legends and lovely blokes with it.
  • We didn't recognise Theo Foley - had to ask him who he was...embarrassing! Then I had to stop myself blurting out, "Oh, you were the useless manager when I first started supporting Charlton!"

Yes, just make sure you.flag it when you book
