Big big night tonight..........whenever a big game looms the day seems to drag, always been the same and I suppose it's the same for just about everyone.
Really stoked up for this one and the antisipation is welling up as the hours tick by.
Can smell the fish and chip shop and the burger bars already, the buzz of the crowd and the cries of the programme sellers as I make my way down Floyd Road, for what feels like the millionth time.
Some things never change and I for one would never change it, not for the world.............I'm going home tonight, home to my beloved Valley.

Before the two Sheffield games i was stupidly excited / nervous. Today i just don't have that same sense of expectation, even though it is a huge night on paper, against a team i think has the potential to outplay us.
...oops I meant banter of course. I'm such a silly old oaf.
Was it the first game back at the Valley?
We are 15 points ahead of them so it won't be as nervy as the Sheffield games
No.2 son is bringing his girlfriend with him, her Dad's a West Ham fan so hopefully a new fan for us.
if we lose she will get dumped
Now I'm feeling a bit anxious about everything after reading this thread! :-)
Suddenly Worried of
Maidstone
The table says that so far we are the best team in the division.
Chris Powell will drum into the team that complacency is not an option.
No point being nervous, that will only create an atmosphere at The Valley that is fraught with tension - and make it difficult for the team. Is that what you want?
Get behind the lads right from the start!
4-1 Charlton; BWP, Green, Haynes, Jacko
edit - wrong post but still relevant
A massive atmosphere and noise will help us massively. We have got to be the 12th man tonight.
