I will be getting the 08:05 from Auchinleck and will get back to Ayr at 00:25 Sunday morning.Still worried about the weather though.
Hope for your sake the game is on, irrespective of the result
hope for everyone's sake it is on. going without my football fix for two weeks is unacceptable. Last season, however i could manage a month or two without any trouble. maybe im getting a bit addickted, lol.
10:55 out and 18:39 back - me and son, he has new train syndrome as we normally drive or local trains when in SE for away games so is very excited £53 for me and £26 for Georgie
I am tempted to go but will leave it as late as possible before deciding. Not wishing to be a killjoy but the BBC weather forecast is not at all encouraging with day time temperatures in Chesterfield ranging from 4* to 1* as the week progresses and night temperatures freezing or below with -3 predicted on Friday night and although it is a new stadium I believe there is no undersoil heating.
Doesnt look good. Emergency planning here at work have just circulated severe weather warnings from the Met Office. Temps in the north are going to plummet from Weds. Friday is predicted to be the worst night. Temps ranging from -4 to -10 in the midlands and South Yorkshire.
I doubt it but have Chesterfield got undersoil heating?
Not according to this extract from Wycombe's prematch report on them this time last year:
'Chesterfield say it's too early to predict if the game is likely to be played (they don't have undersoil heating) but they are 'monitoring' the situation and say their ground staff has a 'good record' for getting games on in wintry conditions.'
Just got here now watching Spurs V Scousers. Am hoping for bad weather in blighty this weekend as my son hasn't Missed a game for his sunday team since they started playing 5 years ago
Comments
Trains back are at 17.39 and 17.51 not 17.59.
I'm out on the 11.55 and back on the 17.51.
