Having read the article all they allude to is that Keane is looking to get back into management...........they also mention the Leeds job as well so they are hardly sticking their neck out.
Jackett has had no money and no new manager will have any. Can't see Keane working on those conditions. In any case KJ won't be going and Millwall will scrape out of trouble.
The whole story sounds like rubbish, KJ is well liked by the Millwall fans anyway, and the idea of Roy Keane at the Den, a club with little money and little chance of reaching the PL is laughable!
It would be good to get KJ out of there, I think he's a good manager and comes over as a nice reasonable guy, totally unfit to be a Milwall manager, bet he has not even got any tattoos. (Sorry to Addicks with tattoos)
Taking away all the millwall hate stuff, I think they'd be mad to get shot of Jackett. Think he's done a great job there and really can't see them getting anyone better (considering their financial restraints).

This. Kenny Jackett has done a great job at Millwall. He always gets his teams playing as a unit. Millwall lost Morrison, a key striker and he can't be blamed for that. Millwall would be mad to get rid of him, Keane is not exactly proven at Ipswich.
I don't think you will find many Millwall fans wanting him to go. When they were getting hammered 6-0 at home the home crowd were still singing for Kenny Jackett.
Jackett may not be able to stop Millwall finding their natural level at League One and good as he is, Jackett can't change that force of history (particularly given the financial restraints).
Precisely. Keane would never be able to work on the budget at millwall. He couldn't even manage on the substancial warchest at sunderland. Think his ego is a major obstacle.
Jackett took a gamble on Morrison and struck footballing gold. He naturally built a team around his talisman stiker, and when he was sold, he was never given the cash to replace him. So it's no surprise they have stuggled this time around.
If I were a millwall fan, Kenny would certainly get my backing.
I too don't mind Jackett. He comes across alright - although he has got funny little eyes that dart about whenever he's being interviewed and therefore can come across as a bit "shifty".
Reminds me of Don Revie and Leeds, the only duo that I have ever truly hated. If they were playing now, they would have to create something much worse than just a red card for their tackling. Something like public execution !
I'd have to say the moronic element of Millwall supporters have turned against KJ. The majority seem frustrated. As an impartial spectator, really they are not far from being a squad that can hover around the play offs. He has recruited well, and does have options apart from up front. Personally he made big mistakes in signing McQuoid and Feeney. He has perservered too long with Feeney as a winger, and McQuoid had no history of success coupled with now having had a mysterious illness.
They'd be hugely foolish to get rid of KJ, but they are on a fine line and probably will get close to relegation if Henderson picks up his usual injury. With the inevitable financial collapse of many champ clubs, just staying up could mean they're a striker away next season. DH is rumored to be unaffordable next season, I just hope we go nowhere near him.
i think they will part company with KJ at the end of the season - not a a sacking but a mutual consent thing. I know its an old chestnut but he really has taken them as far as he or anybody could so he needs to get out and quick before he gets unwarranteda buse for failing to perform another miracle
No he is just fully championship class. He can score beautifully simple goals, and by that I mean peel off and control then a tidy little finish. He's excellent in the air, a good finisher, hold up play OK but not dynamic in between defenders. The guy has been on serious money.
The rumour is that Millwall are paying a low wage to him, whether Sheffield gave him a good payoff for his final year on the contract not sure, but they say it's guaranteed he'll leave at the end of the season. It doesn't quite make sense, but comes from what is said to be a trusted source(!?). Personally he is atrocious in the prem, and if you spend 10-15 grand a week on a player then he has to be able to make the step up. Spending 10-15 grand a week on the likes of Glen Murray, Rob Hulse, or Henderson is not the way any sanely run club should go. Maybe on loan if the parent club pays towards it, but that's it: Millwall wouldn't pay us a penny!

I like Feeney. McQuoid looked to be a veyr promising player, really don't know what's happened there, be interesting to see how he does at Burnley.
Think we're a few players off having a play-off challenging squad, LB, RB, winger, midfielder and several strikers short!
I like watching Feeney, still waiting for him to actually look like he'll consistently make something happen let alone cross to anyone. Personally if they play him better off atm in a 4-5-1 where he and Henry tuck in off Henderson.

its a non-story.
The two together would be the axis of evil. Maybe even cause a black hole

I think Millwall will stay up this year though.

In my mind it's how I imagine nolly to look/act.
