Celebration suite

edited February 2012 in General Charlton
Anybody ever done this for a game and if so is it worth the money??

Thinking of getting involved for the Wycombe game.

Ah yes Bart.....that's the one you did for your birfday when we met in the West Upper a few weeks back.......you certainly seemed to be enjoying your special day!
Didn't know it's called The Celebration Suite.
I think Theo Foley is the regular host in that lounge?
  • My Dad and I eat in the Celebration Suite every week - the staff are great and we have a good time. Theo Foley is a lovely host. I would thoroughly recommend it.
  • That's what it is called on the website.

Does seem to be excellent value loking at what you get fo your money.
  • I thought that lounge had another name......well I'm almost certain it did originaly?
  • I think it used to be the International Suite - there are signed shirts on the walls of our International players.
  • I think it might have been The Greenwich Suite or The Observatory Suite.
  • Yep treated some close friends to this and thought it was good value for money, all on the small side but good value

Well that would have suited Bart perfectly then!

  • The suite is split over two floors - with the lower part formerly known as the international suite & the upper floor formerly known as the observatory suite.
It was renamed and marketed as the celebration suite about five years ago.
  • It is great, the staff are good fun and if you are lucky enough to get Theo Foley as the host you are in for a fun time.

Ah right oh....thanks Garfield.......by the way does The Greenwich Suite still exist.......and if so where is it......... or where was it?

  • I have tried a couple of the suites at Charlton and thought that they have been really good value with great food. I'd recommend them to everybody.
  • Sound as - the Greenwich suite is on the first floor adjacent to the boardroom and the main CAFC club offices.
The dining package in the Greenwich suite comes inclusive of a directors box seat.
  • Thanks garfield......got it all sorted now..........I think!!
  • Does the millennium lounge still exist or has the name changed ?

Suit you sir. Us commoners can't afford that kind of thing...

Is the celebration suite the best value one?

  • In there for my 60th celebration on the 14th for the MK don's game.
And got the tickets yesterday so it does exist, or at least I am going to have an awkward moment or two with my party, I do not think a 'hot dog' will cut it?
Be good to meet Theo again, my lads are going and he used to do some coaching with them a few years back at Sparrows lane. Come over ME14 addick and say hello.

  • Will do Ken!

We sit in the corner nearest the stairs to the Observatory suite.

I'm sure you'll have a good time. Theo is a lovely man and so is Harry the doorman. Dad and I have come to look upon all the staff there as friends, they are so good to Dad who isn't very mobile these days and they really do make our visits to Charlton very happy.
  • How much is it (per person)? Can't find it on the OS
  • Dad and I use our normal season tickets which are close to the Celebration suite and it costs us £35.00 each. You get a programme, a three course meal which usually consists of soup, a choice of two meats and a vegetarian option, followed by gateau, coffee or tea & mints. You also get tea or coffee at half time plus biscuits, then tea or coffee at full time.
  • Thanks ME14
  • I'd agree, well worth it and the staff and host are great.
  • The Celebration Suite is great value with an excellent menu and fine service. The Greenwich Suite is something special and highly recommended. We are booked in the Greenwich Suite for the Walsall game.

    My wife loves it!
