Some more programmes from the Dryland family collection up for auction. All proceeds to the Charlton Life and Bromley Addicks fund for the CAFC Academy and other Club causes.
LOT A A collection of five 1960s friendly programmes. These were not pre-season games but friendlies arranged during the season. Two of the programmes have match report paper cuttings and there is also a rare single sheet flyer (pictured) advertising the La Gantoise game. All programmes in very good condition. Opening bid £7
LOT B Two different programmes for the same game. Charlton v Coventry 26 April 1966. The game was played at the Valley but was also shown on a "giant screen" at Highfield Road, Coventry. For sale are the conventional Charlton programme and the 4 page A5 programme issued by Coventry price 3d. The home programme is in very good condition but the Coventry programme has been folded so has some creasing. There are also four different press cuttings telling us that there were 11,321 watching on the screen and 15,329 there in person to see the Addicks pull clear of relegation with a 2 - 0 win. Len Glover and Mike Kenning netted. Opening bid £6
LOT C Signed Open Day programme 20 August 1989. A programme from the Sparrows Lane open day that officially launched Valley Gold. A Charlton Cricket XI played a Lord Taverners side featuring Gary Lineker. The autograph page has been signed by Lenny Lawrence, Paul Williams, Steve Gritt, Bob Bolder, Gordon Watson, Colin Walsh and others I'm not sure of. The cover is worn but otherwise the programme is in good condition. Opening bid £5
Auction Closes this Friday 3rd February at 5.00. Winners will need to pay postage or be willing to collect.
Happy Bidding.
