It has nothing to do with Curbs or Pards.
They massively overachieved last season. I hate using that phrase as it belittles any smaller club’s good season. However in this case it is true. The problem for West Ham is that their players believed they had arrived as fully blown, top rank Premiership players. I do not think I could name three other players who are more taken in by their own hype than Reo Coker, Harwood and young Ferdinand. Also I think our old boy Konch thought he'd arrived once he pulled on a claret and blue shirt. Curbs soon saw to that!
As for us, I see us as a bunch of honest pros on the whole. Many of our squad probably knew things would be tough this year. I don't think any can be too surprised where we are but because of that I think we have more chance of getting out of it.
If you listen to the vibes coming from West Ham, they say they can't believe they are in trouble after "last year". They are a bunch of Big Time Charlie Potatoes and it will all come home to roost on Saturday. They will come to us with the wrong attitude. We know we're in the shit, they won't accept it. We win, we survive and they go down.

What do you care? Will you be there? NO!
You don't think you're going to get off lightly on this one do you? ;-)
PS. I usually am.
