Pritchard is a terrific little player, definitely the find of the season. At 26 years old he epitomises the fact that the lower leagues and non FL clubs are full with talented players just waiting for the chance to show their stuff at a higher level. Look how Steve Morison, for example, has forged such a great career for himself after being given the chance at Millwall. Pritchard is fit, appears to be dedicated as well as very determined and talented and he could be a fixture for the Addicks for a good few years. Congratulations to the CAFC management for unearthing such a little gem.
I think quite a few players have the talent in non league to make a professional career, it's just many of them are too stupid to realise it and have crap attitudes. Thus why some one like Chris Dickson didn't make it but Pritch has.
Signing a player from non-league is ALWAYS a gamble but the manager has to trust the player. When they come good, they become a bit of a fans favourite. With Pritchard, I want him to do well because he's come from non-league and you can tell that he wants it. And as KA said, it's all about attitude.
If you go back to a thread at the start of the season it said who do you think will be the surprise signing that proves to be a great player and i said this guy. He was incredible v sheff utd on sat.
we had a discussion on Jones/Pritchard while discussing Kinsella a few posts ago. Pritchard is to Hollands what Jones was to Kinsella. Now the next poser .. what to do about Stephens ?
