Can someone explain to me why the football league secretary arranges a full night of games on Valentines Day? Why not delay 24 hours? Personally, I think Valentines Day is a load of old tosh, but you can guarantee that I'll still get 'so you're still going then' from the wife...

I'll still be there but it's some negotiation that could be avoided!!

Told the missus about this when the fixtures got released, so she knows the drill, might buy her some roses on the day to make up for it if I'm in a good mood ;-)

Picked up my ticket for this one on Tuesday and the woman in the clubshop warned me that it is valentines day (only a female would mention this). I told her, as I was buying my ticket with one of my "jackson 5" vouchers that my woman bought for me for xmas, in effect she bought the ticket and will understand me going to the match rather than taking her out for a meal that would cost 200% more than any other night of the week.

She just gave me one of those smiles that translates into "typical fu**ing bloke".
