Pritch has earned the shirt in my opinion. His got so much energy and to come from non league to going up against prem opposition and put in the performances he has put in is top drawer. No walking back into the team for stephens. He has to try and win his place back
I think Stephens will be eased in by being sub tomorrow but I do think he'll come on sometime in the game. Then, if he does well, he'll probably start next game. Not sure how match fit Haynes is but I'm going for Sullivan, Cort, Stephens, Clarke and Haynes. Or maybe 2 midfielders (Stephens and Russell) and one forward (take your pick). Tough on Waggy but I think CP has been improving his squad and he's is just moving down the pecking order.

Anyone who thinks sticking Matt Taylor in goal with 5 minutes gone against Orient would have been anything other than a disaster needs their head checked. It's the toughest, most specialised position on the pitch. You go into a match with a proper back-up or you pay the price. It's never worth the risk"

For many years there were no sub keepers on the bench, obviously in a time of less substitutes, but generally pretty rare for a keeper to go off injured, or get sent off, even today. Steve Brown was an excellent back up keeper in emergencies, & I doubt he would have played anywhere near as many games competitively as Taylor did, even though that was at non-league level. So, in some emergency scenario, I wouldn't hesitate to put him there. It would be sods law that if there was a time we didn't select a sub keeper, then that would be the time something happens.
Would have Sullivan on the bench and then 2 defensive options and 2 attacking. Cort has to be there and I'd have Clarke - should hopefully be able to play with either Yann or BWP, doubt Haynes or Hayes could do that.
Russell probably for the other defensive option, also cover for Hollands or Pritchard as a more box to box player. Hughes not far behind as a purely defensive option.
Wasn't sure we needed 2 CM's but can kind of see why Powell went for it. Stephens could come on and create something, Waggy can offer something defensively or when attacking but not likely to pick out a pass or cross. Pritchard has that pace and energy as well so can move to the right to replace Green, as he did last week.
You'd think Haynes might be there, but then Powell said he sees him as a striker, not a winger.
So many options, I think only Sullivan and Cort are (almost) guaranteed a place on the bench. Really just down to whether Powell goes for 2 strikers or 2 midfielders, can see a good argument for either.
My subs would be: 1) Sullivan - Anything can happen (Leyton Orient for example). 2) Cort - 3rd choice CB. 3) Russel - He's both a defending or attacking CM so is good to have. 4) Waggy - energy from the bench is what we need and we know he's 100% fit (unlike Haynes). 5) Clarke - Can replace either of the strikers.

We have a capable specialist goalkeeper on the bench. In the event of Hamer sent off/injured, why disrupt the team further to put Taylor in goal?
I'm sure Powell sees it this way.
