The best business sense would be to wait until we are promoted, but if cash flow is an issue they might release them sooner with comparable prices to this season. If they did I suspect they would sell them quickly, but would generate less money as the Championship must be worth more.
I imagine, as they usually do, they will do an early bird offer whereby if you renew by a certain date e.g. start of April, and show loyalty etc even before promotion is secured, then you will be able to get STs at last season's full price (not the early bird price for last season if there was one).
Then after that I reckon they will increase the prices by circa 10% - presuming we get promoted.
But yeh jesus Willmore, I dislike your phrasing of that question. We are at least 10 wins away from being a championship club so a long effing way to go yet matey!
Bit premature on division but, as mentioned above, we have done earlybird sales before. Just as a comparison, I noticed that the Wendys had a promotion in Saturday's programme.
They have a six week sale period to 2 March. Cheapest ticket £315, free U-8 ticket if bought with adult at same time. They won't then sell again until they know for sure what division they're in (1, Champ or 2!!!)
Only thing to bear in mind may be that Mr Slater did mention there may be some adjustment to make sure 5 year ticket holders didn't lose out, after the unexpected £50 cut last year.
Why is this question being asked at this stage...seems strange to me? And anyway, I doubt very much if the board have even given it a second thought as things stand at present......who knows what answer they will come up with as and when the moment arrives..anything else from us fans would be pure guess work. So, a strange question............which at the moment can't possibly have an answer. Like one or to thers have already said, for gods sake, let's get promoted first!
I have no doubt whatsoever the season ticket prices would have been discussed and I would imagine that they will go on sale early ( March or April) to take advantage of our lofty position in the league.
But if they do that Beds they will have to offer them at League One prices, and if we look as likely to go up at that point they are risking the extra they would be able to charge if we do go up.
I think they will offer the season tickets at league one prices regardless of where we finish, as long as you buy them before a specific time. It's been done before and it makes complete sense.
I remember when we came down from the Premiership, if you bought a season ticket you would geta free season ticket the following year if we bounced back into the Premiership. It would be nice if they repeated the offer this year, just in case we get promoted out of League 1 and then emulate Norwich. However I don't think the 5 year ticket holders would appreciate this, unless of course the offer included an extention to the 5 years.

Loving this approach Beds , economically times are tough , & people love a good bargain , might incentivise people to sign up and save some cash.
lets face it if they had frozen season ticket prices last year the die hards would still have bought one, I was actually annoyed that they reduced them by £50 because I thought the club would need every penny they could get. Nobody knows until the club makes an announcement but you can bet that we won't get ripped off
CE, I'm in the same boat but as the article says five year ST holders haven't been forgotton. Craig, the Five year ST rep sits on the Target 40k group and will have raised the issue.
Might be worth emailing him or raising the matter at the 5YST event in March
Don't you get some other benefits for having these tickets though? Don't you get preference for tickets for away games?
Also it was a gamble - or at least speculation. Had we been promoted in successive seasons you could now be looking at a ticket in the Premier League for the price of third division football.
You could also still end up better off - and this is before the club announce your 'reward' which, it appears, will be done at the meeting coming up.

I have to say the match where you meet "ex-players" and sit in The West Stand is very nice & it would be silly/ rude to turn the opportunity down, so I didn't. But it's not a great benefit to me, as I've already got my S/T seat & prefer sitting in The Covered End with my mates.
Anyway, I'd do pretty much anything to help the club, it's just the principal that matters to me.

Apart from on the pitch in recent seasons, obviously.
If the S/Ts are offered again at last years' prices I'm still about £50 down.
Semi-serious comment.
Still end up with worse crowds than us

I'm impressed with the offer, and I will be buying my ticket before the deadline, even though I suspect we will be as good as up by then!
I did it to help the club, when they were financially strapped & thought I might lose the lot. As I had previously, when I bought a 10 yr S/T.
Disappointed though with how it's panned out. It feels like I've been penalised for being one of 400 willing and able to help.
Loyalty obviously doesn't pay in this case.
Pleased for everyone else of course.

Absolutely!
