  • That was the 4th round. We have Spurs in the 5th round. I think it will be at the Valley.
  • Very very very lucky to be in the next round. Charlton shaded the first half with a great goal from Pigott after excellent passes from Poyet and Silva.

The 2nd half was all Leicester and they missed at least five excellent chances plus the penalty, which was an excellent save from Phillips.

Extra time, Leicester miss another great chance, for Silva then to earn a pen which Pigott scored from. Leicester then miss another chance with the last kick of the game.

    Great drama.
  • Don't think they're allowed to let STs in for free for some reason.
  • Great result. Obviously, having a good youth team can only be good for the foundations of the club
  • Not sure it was our strongest side? Holmes & Muldoon, are they regulars? Could Gough and Popo have played if not on loan?
  • The 5th Rd is the last 16.
  • Shirty 5 has it spot on. Very lucky not at our best but hey ho. Lost it in midfield as Muldoon and Holmes seemed out of their depth. First time seen Piggottwas very impressed.
  • Good result, Spurs will be a tough game, I went to the game at The Valley a few years ago, they won fairly comfortably from what I remember.

Gough and Popo are pro now, 3 of Sho-Silva, Pigott. Azeez and Harriott have been the front 3 most of the season.

Holmes has played a bit this season, seems he's one of the most highly rated u16s.

Think they've rotated likes of Muldoon in the midfield, while Poyet's been a regular. @liamhappe will have a better idea than me though.
  • Good Spurs side that night 3 years ago with the likes of Adam Smith, Steven Caulker, Dean Parrett, Andros Townsend, Jon Obika and John Bostock playing.

Solly and Jenkinson played for the youths that evening.

Holmes and Muldoon are usually two of the various midfielders fighting for the third spot alongside Poyet and Bradley Jordan, but have earned starting berths at Jordan's expense. Bradley has had injury problems in his defence.

Holmes and a few others had problems tonight keeping their composure and as a result possession on many occasions, but that's to be expected in a game this big so early in their careers.

  • Who cares if they were not at there best we are through well done lads
  • A really outstanding opening goal by Joe Piggot, started by a fantastic long crossfield ball from left to right by Diego Poyet to Tobi Sho-Silva who then crossed for Piggot to hit an unstoppable shot from just inside the box. The rest of our play, especially in the second half and extra time was far too frantic and, to be honest, a fast and physical Leicester side, urged on by a noisy group of supporters, were unlucky to lose. We held on by the skin of our teeth - a great penalty stop by Dillon Phillips, incidentally. It was a very exciting game, though, and I hope we can get more people to come for the next match.
