The Addicks keeper helped secure a priceless three points in Saturday's 1-0 win at high-flying Sheffield Wednesday. The Owls had been unbeaten at Hillsborough, but that record ended courtesy of Johnnie Jackson's 28th-minute winner. Hamer was impregnable at the back, making no fewer than six saves as Charlton shut out their promotion rivals.
