Lets hope its bye bye to that twat Colin Murray too!
I am an easy going kinda guy .. BUT, I HATE Colin Murray with a fury that scares me, he is an arrogant, four eyed (eyeist I know), know all, jumped up little Ulster arsewipe .. and when he goes (I hope) he can take fat (sorry ! fatist) Stephen Nolan with him and the other Ulsterknowall Alan Green .. give the beeb back to the English f f s .. and while I am at it: how many scots are on the radio/tv as 'experts'? .. they are just experts at talking a good fight .. send 'em back north where they can be 'expert summarisers' on their own (i'e scottish) rubbish league .. rant over .. come on you reds !!!!!!

That's right. Whilst we're at it, let's change the name to the EBC.
Alan Green is not a BBC Employee, he is a contractor, and probably a cheaper to get rid of...
almost ALL the 'names' on the BBC are ostensibly freelance contractors from Marr, Paxman, Dimbleby to Green, Agnew, Hall and co. It's done to reduce tax and NI liabilities. The problem is that the BBC is one of the strongest 'freemasonry'/good old boy organisations in the world .. it seems that once you're 'in' and you toe the party line, you are in for life. I'll wager that the commentators under threat are from local radio stations, are hardly known by the general public and will be cheap to dispense with.
I suspect that more controversial people will be retained as they draw audiences.
agreed .. for example Robbie Savage ... he MUST have friends in high places to have got his job .. he is quite simply f***ing hopeless, though he seems popular with a lot of folk, (perhaps it's moi !) .. I'm old school, the BBC should report the news and not try to make the news or to be too opinionated. Leave the controversy and 'reality' to the commercial stations.
Perhaps ITV can follow suit and get rid of Clive "I love Moan Utd" Tydlesley.
the main commentator on sky, who's name escapes me, just does NOT STOP wittering even to pause for breath during the games. When he and Ray (lovely human being) Wilkins are together it's like listening to two old duffers in the snug bar going on about their lumbago and fings aint wot they used to be
I really like Colin Murray, he is someone who works in broadcasting and loves football....whats the problem?
Agree with Swisdom....in fact Fighting Talk is probably the best show on the radio right now.
The problem is that Fighting Talk is the biggest self-congratulatory bore ever. It's filled with people who should stick to being newspaper columnists and who should never be allowed near a radio station. The jokes aren't funny and if you ever have the misfortune to hear it for more that two weeks running you know that the questions are regurgitated faster than a bulimic's lunch. I'll grant you that Fighting talk was good once. You can pinpoint the exact moment in history that it became a bad programme though; it was the day that they introduced all those silly gimmicky noises. They couldn't possibly have sent out a clearer signal that they'd run out of ideas.

Agreed.
I hate fighting talk. It's rare that i switch from 5 Live to Talksport but when that rubbish comes on it goes straight over.

(Green's still a c***)
I only came in here to say I hope one of those on their arse is him
Colin Murray on Fighting Talk is bloody great imo - hope he's alright
He probably thinks he's fireproof because of his spat with Ferguson - the biggest football story ever. Fact.
