Costa before Kak. Also Fish and Herminator before Kak. Also Brown and Perry before Kak. Kinsella before Euell. Stuart before Thomas. Robinson before Thomas. Mendonca? Bartlett? Only Kiely Rufus Young Parker and Bent are certs. Probably Jensen too.
Mr Bligh. Never rated Young either. Included in mine is Div1 players (old premiership) Kiely Humphrey Pates Shirtliffe Reid (Mark) Jensen Parker Lee Reid (Andy) Bent Melrose (of couse)
Young seems to have made a steady career for himself in the Premier League. Solid right back.....his "headless chicken" style is rewarding him with goals now!
am i really the only person that thought luke young had the positional play of a headless chicken?
Nope. I never rated him either but I did seem to be in a minority.
I think he may have started out a bit like that, but the longer he was with us the better he got. Nothing headless about his performances once he got settled.
oops - forgot about Williams !! - still liked Jones though & thought he was unlucky.....if only he had scored at Oldham on their plastic pitch then things may have been different.

Of if he hadn't fluffed that open goal against Everton at Selhurst.
Mills (easily better than Young, even though I think he's a bit of a dick) Brown (my all-time favourite Charlton player) Rufus (a travesty that he never played for England) Powell (legend)
Robinson (passion, commitment and constant nagging at refs) Kinsella (great captain and inventor of the post match "heave-ho") Parker (even though he spat his dummy) Jensen (for THAT goal vs Arsenal alone)
Bent (goal machine) Johannson (I enjoy an overhead kick goal)
Very harsh to leave Kinsella out but I thought Parker and Jensen worked well in the middle, and with Stuart tucking in I'd like Robbo as more of an orthadox winger.
I rated Bartlett a lot and think him and Bent could have complimented each other very well.
If we are talking about players who simply played for us in the Prem regardless of what stage of their career then surely John Barnes and JFH would be the first two names on the teamsheet?
Mills (edges young out) Rufus (my first pick) Costa (short spell but total class) Powell (herman a close 2nd)
Stuart (always got those vital goals) Parker (what an engine) Kinsella (as important as curbishley!) Jenson (for his creativity) Robinson (led with the 'they don't like it up 'em' mentality)
Bent (goals, goals, goals)
Thought the midfielders deserved a spot in the team more than a 2nd forward. Mendonca is out for the same reason I didn't include andy hunt - most of their goals came at championship level.
Sasa illic – at his best was superior to Keily who rarely left his line Danny Mills – poor person, quality full back Richard Rufus – missed him badly George Costa – his notional partner had RR initials but he was a Rolls Royce of a player Chris Powell – legend, no real competition for this spot Graham Stuart – kept us tight in midfield Scott Parker – never played as well for other sides as he did for us Claus Jensen – often used left side but I’m sure this side could accommodate him central Andy Reid – I don’t like right-footers like JR & JT on the left Darren Bent – goal machine Andy Hunt – his “stick-ability” would have helped midfield immensely

Each to their own I guess.
In fact I would put Pearson in front of Jones! ;-)
Even Ralph Mi, oh maybe not.
