Sheffield United (H)

edited January 2012 in General Charlton
Does anyone have any idea of ticket sales for this match?

Could be even more important than the game at Hillsborough especially as we are at home and expected to win.

Would be good to see a 20k+ crowd at The Valley especially as they are likely to bring 2,000+ I'd imagine

  • will be there, first home game this season for me. Might bring my old man along as well.
  • They will sell out the away end.
  • Yeah there will easily be 3300 blades in the Jimmy South stand. Should be our biggest home gate methinks.
  • Will try bring a big group along, expecting a quality game

  • I will be there.
  • Personally I don't think Sheff Yoo will sell out there allocation.
They will bring a decent amount but not 3500 (or whatever the JS holds).
  • If everyone from the regular 13,000 Charlton fans that go every week bring 1 mate = sell out, simples.

Wonder if the turnstiles will be working by then :-P

I think they will sell out and the first 20,000+ gate of the season for sure, guaranteedwhen we get something out of the weekend playing thier smaller neighbours as a sort of warm up
  • Don't think they've sold out their initial allocation of 2,000 yet
  • Just an observation but how will a club who, didnt sell all their tickets for a play off semi at preston , bring that many to south London?.

  • Because its South London and not Preston for a start
  • Plus all these norvern sorts are down here doing all the manual shit we cant be bothered with. They will sell out

Could their allocation system be any more complicated?
  • Bringing 2 extras along for this one.
  • There'll probably be 20,000+ but the club won't announce it as that. Seen it many a time over the years....

    Apart from the Chesterfield game.

  • I wonder what their loyalty scheme is about, 19,000 points needed!

I hope Airman is taking notes for the Chesterfield away ticket allocation.
  • Do you reckon any of them have tried buying a season ticket for the 2005/6 season this year just to try and get their points up?

I like that - good effort!
  • The Sheff Utd web site is saying they have been allocated 2,000 tickets with a further 1,000 if needed. As of today there is not anything saying they have sold the first 2,000 yet
  • Bring at least double what Wednesday brought. Better support...
  • Bring at least double what Wednesday brought. Better support...
Without a doubt, its early days yet, if they win tonight and results fall a certain way on Saturday they will be asking for the other 1,000 tickets
  • i like the points system would solve alot of problems
  • I wonder if the single point for official travel has ever affected someone getting a ticket or not.

    It's quality, not quantity ;-)
  • 4-0 home win this evening so gap could be 1 point by the time the teams meet. Should mean a bigger following from them too!!

    Biggest crowd of season perhaps?
  • We could be 3rd if we lose to both Sheffield clubs. Scary thought. COYR 6 points please.
