Real shame as they have generally looked after us Addicks very well down the years but like so many licensed premises it's hard to make the figures add up.
Anyone who knows a suitable venue in Bromley (preferably to the east of the Borough) with room for 100 - 120 people, a bar, good access and a football fan friendly management (ie NOT Bromley Labour Club) please inbox me.
£300 to £600 bar takings on a mid-week night from groups of 60 to 100+ well behaved fans available.
i can offer you a hall with a good bar in catford
also have you approached bickley park and bromley cricket clubs ?
cant seem to inbox you
cheers
Catford is a bit out off our patch but if you want to re-launch the Lewisham Addicks Group I can point you in the right direction.
We tried Bromley Cricket Club a few years ago and it didn't really suit but Bickley Park could be ideal. Was at a do there recently and it seemed fine. Maybe a bit small. Do you have a contact there?
Ben
i ll be back re Bickley Park although you might be better off just knocking on their door
There is also the old Granby sports ground in elmstead lane would that suit ?
COYR
Cheers
I thought it has closed but was told it's still going. Never been but looks very small from the outside.
Not been in there for years. there is quite a large hall behind the house/ front
Inbox still not working.
Bit out the way of Bromley centre but Farnborough football club in the village, behind the Woodman pub is a lovely venue. A few addicks there too.
Played there for a number of years and know that they would be more than grateful for the business. Will pass on contact numbers if you're interested
the old granby ground has a bar can accommodate 120 ,wd be looking for 1ks worth of takings for a free hire otherwise hire is nominal say £50.00 if theres any further interest i have numbers and contact
also agree re farnborough old boys unless its considered a bit outer bromley
inbox me numbers if it is working now pls.
Still going to look at other venues anyway. No reason to stick with the B & W just out of loyalty.
have sent something to you re above if not received let me know
Richard has asked to move the meeting back to 16th May.
I'm waiting to hear about the B & W but when I have will follow up the various suggestions.
1. "You've got Chris" was email I just got from the Club so all set for the 14 March when Mr Powell turns up apart from having a confirmed venue.
2. Appears the Bickley and Widmore has been saved and it being done up but still not sure that we'll be able to use it for meetings as yet. We have our top working on it.
