Incidentally if Carlisle do go on and produce an upset they will occupy 6th position and be only 8 points off an automatic place (albeit having played a game more)...they've had a fantastic calendar year by their standards and deserve whatever plaudits come their way.
Who would've thought that only just over 30 days after the Huddersfield clash of the top two we'd be playing to go 11 points clear of them just three games later (as well as 9 goals) after in all fairness being well below par ourselves for two and a half of those games.
Just shows you how one or two results can string together in this league and change things dramatically. We need to keep our foot on the pedal tomorrow and Monday, some awkward fixtures about, we need to capitalise and punish our rivals with the opportunity we spurned yet got away with at Walsall and against Oldham.
Going off thread a little, but couldn't help noticing that the BBC Sport website has a piece today regarding the Saints unbeaten league record at home for the whole of 2011 - W23, D2, L0.............until tonight when they 1-0 to Bristol City. !!!!
sometimes its best to keep quiet about these things.

A draw will still be a good result for us.
