Youga looked a better player after the more disruptive elements of the squad were flushed out. He's not been in paid work for months as he tries to recover his career, and we pushed him too hard when he was trying to recover so people really ought not to mock. With an objective hat on though I'm not sure such a physical player can recover from such a terrible injury. And, Evina's done well so I'd be really reticent to lose him without a call-back clause
Sorry, don't believe a word of it. This management team are much more concerned that we have good cover all over the pitch, although like many of us I would like to see cover for BWP. My guess is that they will respond in January to our situation at that time.
I have to say I agree that Evina would probably be better cover than Youga as he hasn't played for nearly 2 years. However, don't we all agree to trust SCP? And have any of us seen Youga training at sparrows lane recently? Powelly and Dyer must feel he would be a useful addition. If we then sign him as a back up to Solly, and obviously he is a left back so can cover there, wouldn't it be good that Evina was getting regular football in the same league. Although a call back option is a must IMO.
Thought Youga was an asset towards the later stages of his time with us but just can't get my head round how he could be out for so long and not be an 'injury waiting to happen'.
Youga was excellent in the lead up to his injury....and when he got hurt it looked fairly innocuous to be fair. However, having read an article some time ago about the injury being Psychcosomatic, you have to wonder if he will ever regain the same level of fitness and confidence....he is still quite young I think.....maybe 27, so has a lot of potentially good years of football in front of him if he overcomes his problems.
From what I understand, not sure if people have heard the same, but Youga blames the injury on Parky and Breaker. Reason being that he got his injury and then when he had recovered and started to train again, he didnt seem himself and kept protesting that he felt something not quite right. The physio at the time said everything was fine, leading Parky to say that his injury was then just in his head. However, Youga got a second opinion back in France and that physio found him to still have an injury, made worse by him being rushed back. That's why its taken so long and that's why Powell has said that the club owe him the chance to prove his ability. As I say, that's just what I am led to believe.
believe that is basically the case. However 2 years out for someone in their prime is a very, very long time and he ain't gonna be anywhere near ready having played one reserve team friendly. I also don't agree that we owe him anything. He took 8k per week for three years and I don't think we got a lot in return.

Charlton left back Evina is to go out on loan to Leyton Orient as he is being kept on the bench by the great form of Wiggins.
Charlton shall then re-sign Kelly Youga as cover for left back as he may finally return from injury.
Happy now Henry?

is Youga still around though? Hope not.
