Your top three CAFC related Prem memories

  • I didn't miss many Prem games at home.

    1) Without any shadow of doubt the 3-3 with Man Utd was and remains the most amazing, fantastic, unbelievable match and atmosphere I have experienced at a football game. I was at work for the Play-off Final.

    2) The Boxing Day hammering of Chelsea

    3) Just to add something new, weren't we 2 -nil down V Ipswich very quickly and came back to win 3-2? I enjoyed that! If that is wrong, beating Liverpool 2-0 when they were Champions of Europe. Won a few quid on that too.

Many happy memories from my first game (V Spurs in FA Cup replay) to my last, (win V Huddersfield), but the crap sadly outweighs the good! I guess that's all part of CAFC.

  • Far from original but if I could relive any of the below I'd be a happy man:

    Saints 5-0

    Hammers 4-0

    Man U 3-3

  • 1. Robbo v Man Utd
    2. Pringle v Newcastle
    3. Kiely's penalty save v Arsenal
  • 4-4 & 7-6 v Sunderland to get us there!

5-0 vs Southampton as an introduction!

Did I imagine Browny saving a free kick vs Villa away or did I imagine that?! Was the same game Mills scored the free kick right? Or have I totally lost it?

  • Beating Chelsea 4-2 on boxing day

    Kevin Lisbie's hat-trick V Liverpool

Bryan Hughes last minute winner against Villa to win 2-1 with pardew in charge. Was watching it in a pub (most likely full ot utd and liverpool fans) in Ireland and went apeshit when they scored.

  • think the famous throwing of the catologues will stay in the memory for years to come.

    All of the above.

And if its not been mentioned yet the 3-2 against Blackburn when Freidel scored in the 90th minute to equalize but then Jensen ran it from kick-off and smacked it in from 30 yards to give us a 3-2 win.
  • Oh yeah, totally forgot about that. Was pretty spectacular.

1 - Utd 3-3 there was something in the air that day, a really special atmosphere
2 - West Ham 4-4 end to end stuff and another. Cracking atmosphere
So to continue with the high scoring draw thing...was the 4-4 at Ipswich a premiership game, 2-0 and 4-2 down I am sure....from a favoruite season however I think I enjoyed the promotion in 99/00 with super Clive and Andy Hunt more than any premiership season, particularly going to Wallsall midweek and knowing we would win, 4-2 it was....
The Utd game highlights are on You Tube...(not sure how to embed them on here)
  • 1. Dennis in the last minute.

  • 1. Johnny Robinson 3rd goal against Man Utd, went mental and remember seeing the fans in the North going mental. Quality game.
2.4-2 win against Chelsea, I was on holiday in Dominican Republic at the time and I remember watching it just after breakfast and there was this Chelsea fan, when we went 4-1 up my dad shouted to this Chelsea fan "How much did Chelsea spend??!?!?!??" haha
    3. Arsenal away 4-2, watched it on Premiership Plus and I have never been shocked after the game thinking did we really win that? haha
  • As the post says charlton related prem memories this can include things that happen against charlton that are also memories! My 3 are as follows:

    1. Robin Van Persie Sublime Volley v Arsenal (although he should off been sent off by then)

    2. Beating West Ham 4-0 in curbs return to The Valley

    3. The throwing off programme when steve brown (I think) got sent off while be sent off on a stretcher!
  • 4-4 Vs West Ham

    3-1 Vs Tottenham

    4-0 Vs Wolves

  • I'd like to sling in the Dicky Rufus tackle on Les Ferdinand? at the Spuds.
  • Can't top those already mentioned - especially the Parker winner at Leeds - but here's three new ones:

    Lisbie winner at Ipswich
The 2-1 win at WBA...the most complete CAFC performance I've ever seen "it's just like watching Brazil"
Nursing a bastard hangover while watching Darren Bent destroying Sunderland on his debut (I think)
  • Did I imagine Browny saving a free kick vs Villa away or did I imagine that?! Was the same game Mills scored the free kick right? Or have I totally lost it?

You didn't imagine it. That was the first thing he had to deal with after coming on!
  • 1 - Fortune Sending Palace down

    2- Charlton 4-2 Chelsea - Boxing Day 2003

3 - Denis In The Last Minute
