Fulham tickets - what's the hold up?

edited December 2011 in General Charlton

4 full working days gone since the draw and still no (definitive) news on when the bloody game is taking place.

Yes I know that Chelsea are drawn at home that day too and the Old Bill have a say. Yes I know that they had to wait for the TV companies to make up their mind.

But 4 days (and counting)? What on earth is there left to discuss after 4 days?

  • Er if you read the proper post... pompey don't want to play on Sunday. Which who can blame them. I think its fair point since we are more local.
  • whats the rush more like
  • The O/S reports the match on Saturday and this independent Chelsea website indicates they're playing on Sunday.

Er ..... what "proper post"? My point is that I understand there are things that need to be sorted out and negotiated - but four days? If I took four days to sort things out at work I'd be sacked.

    You're right - no rush.

Let's wait til Christmas Eve then let the poor folk in our ticket office have to try to shift 7,000 tickets over the festive period.

  • Monday am looks likely.
  • I reckon we will know tomorrow and it will be Saturday 3pm
  • Calm down Off It.............there is over 4 weeks before the game so hardly need to panic. I realise that people have other activities going on & have to arranged things around them, but as they say............patience is a virtue. I'm sure we will know by the weekend & tickets will go on sale on Monday as planned.
  • Er read the post about provisional tickets from Airman brown.

And what happened to your 40th birthday post when you told us it was your 40th and we all wished you nice wishes.
  • I'm calm Golfie - merely perplexed and questioning the length of time it is taking.

I've no doubt that Airman and others at "our" end are equally as frustrated and just want to get cracking.

Er ... is that a new rule that we have to read everything on here before daring to post anything new? Will have to remember that. :o) Not been on here much lately so you'll have to forgive me, just this once.

(Will go back to find my old post now. Am currently feeling old and grumpy - in case you hadn't noticed!)

  • Sorry Mike. You clearly know best.

Please do let me know when I can have a my own views. Hope you get a ticket. Really, I do.

  • I'm sure I'll have no trouble at all, thanks for thinking of me
  • But off it you are a great one for taking the piss about people stressing and for you to start the 3rd or 4th thread about fulham tickets... I thought you were having a laugh.
  • I'm not stressing. I'll be alright getting a ticket - but my son keeps badgering me as I've promised to take him to his first away game so was just asking.

Apologies for starting a new thread. Couldn't see one near the top and didn't have the strength to wade through all the shit.

Good choice for first away game, tell him that we always take 7k away! I hope he enjoys the day and Charlton get the result you both want.
  • Hold on, Seb Lewis has confirmed this as a Saturday 7th January.
    Panick over...
