I Don't Believe it.....

I looked up last season to see how many wins and defeats we got , last season we won 15 league games out of 46 ( we are up to 14 League wins so far out of 19 games) last season we lost 17 league games , (this season 1) long may it continue , made me realise how bad we really were.

  • I reckon 100 points is definitely do-able as well. Two wins from our next four games would put us on 52 points with 23 to go.

  • How many wins , home and away do you think we will have at the end of the season? And how many defeats as well?

    I'm going for 28 wins 13 home, 15 away , and 5 defeats.

  • Statto.com is good for this - we had 14 points fewer at this stage...

    .

This season we are 10 points ahead of last year's Brighton total of 36 from 19.
Sheff Wendy in their customary 2nd position, and they missed promotion by a street last season.

Huddersfield were 3rd .......and finished 3rd.
Southampton were 9th, yet were promoted in 2nd.

Interesting that the bottom 2 clubs both escaped relegation.

I think Walsall only managed that thanks to our totally inept display on the penultimate game of the season.  Time for some revenge I think.
  • As nice as it is to see us improving on last year...I think that table from Statto is a also a bit of a warning. This time last year Southampton were 9th and we were 2nd...and now look were we both are. Just goes to show that a run of bad form, or a run of good form can change things dramatically so it is important we take things 1 game at a time and just keep doing what we are doing so well at the moment.

The difference between this season and previous seasons is we actually have a squad that look like they are passionate, enjoying their football and above all, actually have some ability. Im very confident that we can go on and maintain our current form and win promotion, but lets not get too overconfident!
  • The league was a lot closer last year.  We are 17 points ahead of 7th place.  17th points behind the leaders at this stage last season puts you in the relegation zone.  Year before though, and leeds were 15 points clear of 7th with a game in hand.  I have a lot more faith in the team this season that we can keep the performances up and keep winning.  The last two seasons I always had that feeling in the back of my mind that we were more than capable of losing every game - i don't get that this season - and what a nice feeling that is!
