    WTF??

  • Brizzle Rovers are doing well out the cup this year
  • Peterborough United v Sunderland (3.30pm) – Live on ITV1

    WTF??

I'm sure they are hoping for one of Peterborough's goals galore games. Will be 0-0
  • This implies that both ours and the Chelsea game will be on the Saturday....I thought that wasnt allowed?
  • dont think it will be allowed could be shifted to sunday i reckon
  • Birmingham City v Wolverhampton Wanderers? That will be worth getting ESPN for...
  • One of the two will almost certainly be changed to Sunday, similar to last year's Spurs away when it was changed because Arsenal were also at home. Like last year, no TV involvement either.

I didn't see Fulham v Charlton as one of the ties of the round or anything, but surely it's a more intriguing fixture (not to mention a more potentially impactful giant-killing if it goes that way) than sodding Posh/Sunderland!?
  • I hope we dont have another 1pm Sunday kickoff like at Spurs last year, really spoils the atmosphere.
  • Feck sake and I bet its us pushed to the sunday.

  • The O'Neil factor probably affected the decision to show Sunderland. Don't understand it myself. Can't stand him.

    True!

  • B you get rat arsed whatever day it is.
  • I reckon Chelsea's will be pushed to the Sunday.
  • is there european football that week? fulham in uefa chelsea in champs league, if fulham still in and play thursday night then deffo ours will be sunday

Think European competitions have their winter break in January.

Fairly sure this will be Sunday, Police will want Chelsea on Saturday due to bigger crowd hence more officers needing to be on duty

They're playing on the 2nd so they won't be playing in the UEFA that week.

Last 32 doesn't start till Feb anyway.

    True!

But hopefully not confession after using the "feck" word!!  ;-)
  • Will they move one of the games though?

Both Sheff Utd and Sheff Wed played at home the other week in the FA Cup with 3pm kick offs.

but there grounds are miles apart and the crowds involved were much smaller and, more importantly, a lot, lot smaller away support

  • Plus there'll be other games going on in London over the weekend. Arsenal vs Leeds and Tottenham vs Cheltenham to name two.
  • Arsenal is monday.

Only Fulham, Chelski & Spurs are at home this weekend. There are no london sides from Champ at home in the cup or any L1 or L2 games either.

I don't even care anyway so nerr! :-)
  • I think they are assuming that a Premier side will beat a League One side easily at home- Shows how the people who plan the games don't really follow football that closely - I think a case could be made for us being favourites - Fulham are sure to rest 2 or 3 and we will probably go with our stongest side for that one!
  • I think favourites is pushing it! Yes theres probably a (small) chance of an upset, but trying to claim we are favourites because a premier league team has rested a couple of players is a little ambitious!  Just imagine if a league 1 club tried to claim they were favourites against us while we were in the prem, we would have laughed at them!
  • I'm going to have a few squiddly diddlys on it!
  • Why can't they show the non-premiership games. Premiership teams already get bags of TV-time.
  • I can't see any real arguments with the live games picked. We are a league 1 side playing away to a Premiership club. Regardless of our form we will (and should be) massive underdogs. We've hardly got a great cup pedigree either.
  • i can't see there being a giantkilling and for that reason i expect us to go safely through to the 4th round
