Songs that were so wrong with hindsight

  • Queen -

I was just a skinny lad
Never knew no good from bad
But I knew love before I left my nursery
Left alone with big fat Fanny
She was such a naughty nanny
Heap big woman you made a bad boy out of me

    Kate Bush- The Infant Kiss

The Who - Fiddle About. No need for hindsight required from Mr "research purposes" there.

  • Rolf Harris - Two Little Boys
  • Talking of things that are wrong. Did anyone see Cilla Black on Never mind the Buzzcocks? Awful woman.
  • Aqualung - Strange & Beautiful

Lyrics sound like a description of a rohipnol (sp?) date rape:

"I've been watching your world from afar,

I've been trying to be where you are,

    ..

I'll put a spell on you,

You'll fall asleep and I'll put a spell on you.

    And when I wake you,

I'll be the first thing you see"

  • I'm forever blowing bubbles.

    Wrong on so many levels.

Yes! Especially Michael Jackson's cover version
  • The Brotherhood of Man - Save All Your Kisses for me.

Even as a child when this came out I remember thinking the last line was just wrong.

  • Hurricane- Bob Dylan
Didn't he have to stop singing this because they found new evidence that he was actually guilty?
  • Anything by Coldplay
  • Hurricane- Bob Dylan
Didn't he have to stop singing this because they found new evidence that he was actually guilty?
Carter got a re-trial but was again found guilty.  That conviction was thrown out and the charges then dropped.

that whole song was flawed,as hurricane was never a number one contender or near a title shot
  • Poetic license Nolly.  And a fantastic song.

'Wired for sound' by Cliff Richard - should have been wired up to 240 volts IMO.
