Which players would we be looking at from a team like ours right now, so with us playing Fulham in the third round do we want any of those players having a great game and winning us the game. That would really put them in the shop window and would they want to stay or go to a sunderland or Bolton or fulham etc, what players should we play?

If you took that approach in the cup, you might as well play your under-12's in the league too. After all, being top of the league attracts attention too.

You play the first team and trust in SCP to sell the ambition and future plans of the club to all players so that they want to be here. Anything other than that is ludicrous.

Simples, you take your first team to Fulham with a packed away end like we did to Spurs last season, and have a damned good day out, win lose or draw. If any of our lot would leave us right now to go to one of those you mention, they are not sane enough to be with us. Also remember they could be in the same League as us next season.
