  • I was on Graham Deanes "Wall of Sound" quiz.....won feck all.  They said it would be general and pop music knowledge from within the last 20 years.

Q- When was the Russian Revolution

Q When did the Beatles split up

    My opponent got

    Q Who was Batmans sidekick.

I was only 15 .... have never quite gotten over the bitterness as you can probably tell.

  • Capital radio. The music library with only seven songs!
    Good luck Dave
  • 4 of which feature Rihanna!
  • Capital Radio? Nah.....I'll have more of the kinda stuff that Henry just posted up....reminds me of one of my favourite Clash songs 'the Prisoner'...might have been on the same EP?

Good luck to any Addick in their endeavours - I'm sure it will now have a touch of class that is was previously lacking!
  • bought many a bit of clothing from him when he worked at that store in Greenwich (Bullfrog's??)
  • I quite liked Johnny Vaughan, however, DB is undoubtedly better!!
  • Have seen him on the Oak before on a Sunday.

Comes across a nice bloke. Good Luck to him.

    Does the nice bloke mind?

    gets coat
    Lol!
  • Seems like a nice bloke but seems like a terrible radio station.

I'm a friend of his sister and she's a nice girl as well.
  • Revenge for all those years when P****e fan Dave 'Kid' Jensen was on the radio.
  • Never heard of this guy, very rarely listen to the radio and on the rare occassion I do, it certainly wouldn't be crapital.

Saying that, anyone who takes Johnny vaughan off the air can't be that bad. That bloke's slimier than an eel in a vasaline factory.

  • Really liked the guy on XFM. But Capital is by far the worst station going. They should call it Groundhog Day FM. Very repetitive RnB playlist. Good luck Dave.....cough....sell-out.....cough.
  • Who's Johnny Vaughn?

When I listened to 194 it was Tony Myatt, Kerry Juby, Peter Young, Roger Scott, Nicky Horne, Gerald Harper, Michael Aspel, Kenny Everett, Dave Cash and bloody Gary Cowely!

Dont  you remember David Ram Jam Rodigan?? now does a midnight hour on kiss (kiss kube to listen) also  Greg Edwards. Capital on crooklog fields. All good stuff. Dave has done well getting this slot. IMHO
  • good luck to him but its a sh*t radio station in terms of music.
  • he got me on tv when i was a kid. top bloke.
  • Roddy the dub wise smoddy!
  • Roots Rockers!
  • Where do Capital broadcast from now? I'm based in the old capital radio building (Euston Tower) where i believe it all started. People claim to have seen Pat Sharp's mullet which apparently still haunts the corridors at night and refuses to die.
    You a civil servant BD?

  • Sir William's firm?
    Don't think so - who's Sir William?
  • Atkins
yes - a QS subsidiary of anyway. I'm guessing the W in the WS is William?
  • Not like you not to know your history Dan.
    ;o)
  • do you work for Atkins off it?
  • Nope - but I know people in the building.
  • Top guy is Dave, genuine down to earth guy who knows he has a great job and is enjoying every minute of it.
  • Good man, he's given us a few shout-outs on Capital these last couple of weeks! :)
  • said in the programme he will be assisting BDL with matchday announcing duties for the Hartlepool game
