My last game of three...sad to be going back to Oz as it stands football wise, but Im sure the sunshine will cheer me up....booked a flight for May, but might change it to April for the run in. Hope we field a strong side and put yet another voodoo to bed. Engineering works are going to make it a mother of a journey though.....
  • It depends on which team CP puts out. Too many changes and we're outta the cup. Fancy a 1-1 draw
  • Good luck Bazjonster - stay safe & all the best.
  • Evening all Physic RM here reporting for prediction duty.......well I have to be honest and say my balls have not been out since Monday nights TV extravaganca and Mrs RM has had nothing to do with them!! However I've been 'fiddling' with them a bit today and after a while they finally came to life boy am I relieved!!!
So what did I glean from them? Addicks to win 3-1.....crowd about 9435, and a team with 4 changes from Monday night's starting line-up.....I predict Sullivan, Cort, Waggy and Hayes to come in for Hamer, Morrow, Ephrim and BWP......
......Match thread from about 2 pm!!
  • Stay safe Bazjonster. If Wembley comes I'll pick you up a programme!

3-0 this one. Changes abound, but the Addicks stay firm.
  • Good luck Baz. Make sure you post when you get back so we know you're safe an well.
  • Good luck Baz, no  need for Wembley, we will be champions.
  • I have left my Balls well alone. 2-0 win. Hayes and Waggy to score and then a home draw to P****e.
  • Carlisle fans reckon their team will come and park the bus in front of the goal and hope for a 0-0 or 0-1

  • My last game tomorrow with my 15 year old son before I disappear for 6 months with the the military. Just think, when I get back in June CAFC will be a Championship team again! Hope they do it the easy way as I would be gutted to miss a big Wembley day out in May; let alone a promotion clincher at home to Wycombe in April.
    Good luck Bazjonster. Stay safe...

  • Any idea how many tickets have been sold for the game today?
  • Having no idea what strength of teams either side is going to put out I can say hand on heart I have absolutely no idea. I'll go for a 2-1 hard fought victory.
  • Anything other than a draw, although getting into the 3rd round would be great.
  • If we draw I'd forfeit the replay.
  • Why would some people rather lose than get a draw? If we get a draw then so be it. We have a big squad full of blokes crying out for a game....play them all in any replay. There's no reserve football for them so they need games. Play a decent team today and the following in a replay (which is still pretty decent)...

    Sullivan
    Solly
    Cort
    Doherty
    Evina

    Wagstaff
    Bover
    Euell
    Pritchard

    Benson
    Hayes

I think he'll play Smith upfront, with Hayes.  Benson isn't going to appear in any competition for us again, sadly, and cant afford the risk of injury scuppering Swindon in January leaving him on our books til May.  Pritchard did well at Halifax, so he'll be in,  Waggy needs a full 90 minutes, or at least to start.  Evina, yes,  Cort - CP has more or less said that he will be playing.  Solly could probably do with a break, put him on the bench see how the first half goes without him - who have we got that could come in for him?  And Russel - cant remember, is he free to play?

Scrappy, 2-1 win, with goals coming from Smith and Pritchard or Waggy.

Russell has been cleared to play. I thought Freddie Warren played well at full back in the pre season friendly at Welling.
  • Smith wont start. Unfortunately, I suspect we will see the same front two that started at Halifax.

At only £10/ £5 and everyone happy with form etc i'd be surprised not to get well over 10,000.  We only have half the groud open too (The east, lower north, lower west and south stands).. Could we be caught out?

  • We will be leading by one goal. Carlisle will say "sod it, let's go for it, it's a cup game, what have we got to lose" and they will fight back and get an equaliser after the 85th minute. However, their hearts will be broken by an injury-time winner from Andy Hughes. Attendance will be 6,721, roughly.
  • I hope we don't draw. Less games we play the better. I'm going for a 3-1 victory in the end, with Hayes, Waggy and Russell scoring.

It's always nice to have a good cup run and the buzz is great before the draw when your team is in it!

  • strong team for us to keep up the momentum .. home win (it won't be so easy this time) then Manchester United at the Valley in round 3 .. 1-1 draw then win the replay @ Old Trafford .... CAFC 2 v Carlisle 1
  • Yeah good luck Baz, stay safe out there.
  • Reckon Hughes will start. Possibly in one of the full back positions
  • Sullivan

    Hughes

    Cort

    Taylor

    Evina

    Wagstaff

    Russell

    Pritchard

    Green

    Hayes

    Euell

  • Sorry to sound like a moaner but it really pisses me off that people won't be attending this game in bigger numbers. This is the FA cup ffs, not the paint-pot. The greatest domestic cup competition in the world. I know we won't win it and we have one aim (promotion) but jesus!

It's the early rounds. I'm sure more people will make an effort if we go through and get a home tie in the next round and so on.
