Hi fellow CAFC fans!!
Refreshing to find a good CAFC forum since addickted.net and I will post on here regular.
My first post is basically just to inform you and hopefully will interest you about the boat option travel to the Brentford game on Saturday. A CAFC supporter and Captain of the Silver Sturgeon Thames pleasure boat has put together 2 pleasure boats that will take you from Greenwich pier to Kew pier, a 5 minute walk from Brentfords ground. A different way to travel to a game? This was run last year and was very successful an enjoyable day out so this year he has put on 2 boats due to high demand with one already sold out and the 2nd filling up fast.
This is exclusively to Charlton fans, with CAFC flags on the boat so you will feel at home and soon forget about being seasick (joke, it's very hard to be seasick on the Thames) and this is the itenary of the day:
Fans will have to board the boats at 9.45am at Greenwich pier, and it will leave at 10am. It will then take the army of 300 plus CAFC fans up the Thames, through all the lovely river landmarks if your interested and arrive at Kew pier at 2pm. Yes, a 4 hour boat trip!! There is a bar on board with all beers, spirits etc, and a few nice barmaids last year was a bonus. There will be DJs on board, playing SKA/MOD/indie music and even a few plays of Valley Flloyd road!! By the end of it the whole boat is in fine voice and everyone's ready for the game.
Tickets are £15, one way, so you will have to make your own arrangements after the game but after 3 points who cares!!
People who want tickets or more info should call or text Jamie on 07949777688 please tell all your friends, you don't actually have to have a ticket for the game either.
Hopefully we won't be doing this next season so this will hopefully be your last chance to experience this different and very enjoyable way to travel to a game. We would love 2 full boats of CAFC fans singing Red Army as we go past the Houses of Parliment!!
