Belief

edited November 2011 in General Charlton
On a leadership course at the moment. The speaker today was Dr Ann Quinn, who talked about fostering a culture of belief. She has coached a variety of winners including Pat Cash and Pat Rafter, and many others i had not heard of. I could not help to think of Charlton and our belief at the moment. I wonder if SCP has read any of her stuff.  It was very interesting

  • I think a lot of it comes naturally to our Chrissie - I think his management style to a large extent reflects his playing career.  Seems to fit quite nicely with that line, though.
  • I was going to buy "The Power of Positive Thinking", but then I thought, why bother?
  • I think the majority of successful sportsmen naturally think like this. You are unlikely to reach the top without those attributes.

Also it seems like she can only work with people called Pat.
  • I was going to buy that book too but thought it would probably be cr*p.

Think theres a fair few ''top'' players who are up there without those attributes.
