Quite simply, if BWP was better than SWP he wouldn't be here. He'd be in the Premiership. Frankly, I'd be over the moon to have either of them in the team as they are both quality players but Bradley is not better than Shaun.
If being in the premiership is a sign of quality, following that logic Stuart Taylor must be one of the best English goalkeepers of recent times, because hes been in the premiership for over ten years now.
Is this logic really that difficult to follow? I know nothing about Stuart Taylor personally but if he's been in the Premiership for 10 years then someone clearly considers him to have some talent and values him higher than goalkeepers in lower divisions, even if that only extends as far as the reserve team and the bench.
If a premier league club valued BWP higher than their current strikers then we would have had some offers. Not really happened though has it? Until BWP is playing regularly at Premier League level then you'd be an idiot to honestly think he is better than Shaun.
and further to rizzos comments, goalkeepers are exceptional and clearly that is an utterly ridiculous example to provide as clubs have to find keepers who are willing to sit and be a reserve and never play during that time. This inevitably results in low quality goalkeepers being part of premiership squads. Our very own Rob Elliot a perfect example.
Perhaps you could tell us all smudge how many games Stuart Taylor has played in the premier league over those 10 years?
And then provide us with, say, just 5 outfield players who have played consistently in the premier league over the last 10 years (or even just the last 7 or 8, since BWP came through and has been stuck playing in the lower divisions), but are clearly only really good enough for league one and are not as good as BWP?
