Wiggins

Really rate him, he connects well with Jacko and gets forward,
beats players with his skill, great assist and tracks back well. Could
not ask for a better left back at the moment.

Think he deserves a place in the Welsh team after his performance lately.

Is he competing with Chris Gunter @ Forest for a spot? If so, there is not much between them.
  • His engine is something else. The guy bombs it up and down all game up until the 90th minute at full speed. Has looked very impressive.

Must be on course for a Wales call up.

Competing with Neil Taylor (Swansea) and Chris Gunter (Notts Forest) for the welsh left back berth
  • On a selfish note...i'm glad he isn't playing for Wales.....keeps him fresh and injury-free for us.
  • You realise we are league 1 right?

I may be wrong but always had Gunter down as a Right-back?

...but he could learn a lot from playing alongside Bale for a couple friendlies.
  • Scotland are desperate to get in Rhodes from Huddersfield. If a player is in good form and is proving to be a good young talent, why should it matter if you are in League 1?
  • I think we are getting OTT here. He is good he certainly has an engine but is he international quality... I'm afraid no.
  • You obviously haven't watched him this season then. He'll be the Wales left-back before the end if the season.

  • International quality does not stop in the Premiership alone. Without sounding disrespectful the Welsh team is hardly full of Premiership class, so where do you think they will look for their players?

    TMS Network Solutions?
  • They had that excellent flame haired fellow, something Jones...he wasn't a baaaad player.
  • You mean the ginge?
  • He was A ginge, not THE ginge.

Can you explain the deficiencys in his game then?  I probably don't read the game as well as you, so I'd appreciate your insight....

  • Wiggins is 'kin brilliant
  • How does he compare with Johnny H ? he used to bomb up and down the line all game as well and IMO was good enough for England in his prime.

We're talking about Wales here, not Spain. What is his game lacking?

I also believe Gunter is a RB, not a LB.

  • He didn't look this good at the start of the season, incredible improvement, how good can he become ?

I was surprised he didn't get called up for the Wales V Norway friendly at the weekend .

Having read about his career he had major injury probelms whilst at Palace which meant his development was curtailed severely and he missed nearly two season through a knee injury , I suspect if it hadn't have been for this he might be playing at a higher level already . I suspect like BWP this is the reason he has found himself in League One.

To endear him to the Addickted further this is what he what he said when he left the Eagles to join Norwich.

"I was just looking to get out of Palace really," he said. "I don't think Warnock fancied me as a player for whatever reason - he's entitled to his opinion.

"It's nice to come to a club that's got better facilities, a better training ground and obviously a better stadium. I think with the players and everything else we have a good squad and we're looking to do what Leicester did last year and get promoted.

"First team football is vital for me now. I went out on loan at the bottom of League Two last year with Bournemouth. That was a good experience for me.

"They were in the relegation battle, so I've got experience at that level and I've got experience in the U21 Championships play-offs so I know what it's like to win and need to win and hopefully I can bring that to the squad and kick on and try to get promotion."

History has repeated itself his career mirrors that of  SCP by being bombed out of Palace after hardly playing . I hope we can keep him
