75 years of TV...best moment "Charlton Clowns"???

edited November 2011 in General Charlton
Radio Five were celebrating 75 years of TV this morning, and getting various people to choose their favourite moment eg classic comedy, great sporting moments etc.  What does Arthur Smith choose?  The email read out by silly Lizzie on the Footlball League Show re all the clowns in the Charlton crowd.  I think we can now safely assume he was the Palarse eejit who sent it in....

  • And he went to John Roan school. Disgusting.

My favourite bit was Brucie's joke about John Barnes shirt on Strictly.......

  • And that's his favourite moment?

    What a mono-toned tool.

  • I would think he was millwall, brought up in bermondsey
  • Let's face it, you need to be a comedian to be a Palace fan

Arfer reckoned in his book that he went to both Charlton and Millwall in his yoof... No mention of Palace - if he had sent something in to Lizzie it would have been funnier than that....
  • the guy is so unfunny it saddens me
  • Sorry to be a pedant, but it wasn't Arthur Smith on Radio 5, it was Mark Steel.

He sounded like a spurned lover stalking his ex partner. Surely real nigels don't care about us in the slightest?

They pretend not too but things like this prove they do. They are jelous of us as they know they will never be a bigger or better club. It's a bit like them being married to Jo Brand and us Gemma Arterton! They are a deluded lot - had a conversatopn with Palace fan at work where he honestly believed Sellout was a better ground than the Valley -you couldn't make it up!!!!
