People hold a lot of affection for Sven despite England not being brilliant under his tenure. Bloke had of character and liked his women which normally helps.

I wish him all the best.

Never realised he was 75 but still very grim news. Hard not to like Sven
  • Dreadful news. I hope he still has lots of time left and is able to enjoy it.

Fans have launched a campaign calling for former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson to achieve his "dream" of managing Liverpool Football Club.

Reds supporters have called on the club to allow the 75-year-old Swede to manage a Liverpool Legends home game against Ajax Legends in March.

I hope he is fit enough to do so and that the authorities at Liverpool allow him to do so, even if he can only play a nominal role as manager.

From another football site - gotta love Beckham!

''Reading that David Beckham recently travelled to Sweden to spend time with a dying Sven Goran Eriksson…
He brought him six bottles of wine to drink together, each from a year that meant something special to Sven.
    Unbelievable from David Beckham''
