  • Anyone remember The Adventures?

Had a couple of minor hits in the early 80's, Send My Heart and Another Silent Day I remember. Went quiet and came back in the late 80's with the brilliant Broken Land. That got into the Top 20 but that was about it for them I think.

I read somewhere that they still occasionally gig. I always follwed them as they held their bank account in a bank in Greenwich where I worked in the early 80's. Although they came from N Ireland I guess they lived in SE10. I remember clearly when they paid in their first advance chq from Chrysalis, about £60k. We didn't have many celeb customers.

Denzil from OFAH and writer Barry Keefe were the only other two I can recall - They are connected actually, anyone know?

  • Roman Holiday - Dont Try To Stop It

Live is Life - Opus (saw them live in Belgrade whilst very drunk on a european tour, there were other bands but I have no idea who)

  • I don't think Stu Francis had another hit?
  • I'm sure a few would like to hit him!
