People don't get so angry and agitated with the stewards and each other if everythings going swimmingly Bad losers I suppose and I think everyone gets the hump after/during a crap game/result
The problems between Charlton fans were going on before kick off
Some of the A-Holes that follow us are embarrasing to our club and they were out in full force today. Couple of guys trying to pick fights with Stewards for no good reason. And this whole "I'm standing up fu** everyone else and if you don't stand up you're a C*** (yes, someone actually said that) mentality is pathetic. There seems to be a lot more of a scummy element attaching themselves to us nowadays. I had the displeasure of sharing a shuttle bus from Bletchley Station to the stadium at MK Dons with a group of real scum bags who thought it was clever to sing Racist songs about Adebayor, Anyinsah and Lisbie. First time I've come across that level of racism following Charlton and it made me sick. And yes, I was on my own so I wasn't going to shout 8 pissed up blokes down about it because I would have got my head kicked in no doubt.
Won't be so bad next season when there'll be plenty of room to move around in the away end
Beds were you slightly to the right of the goal as we looked on to the pitch near the front , I see a steward with a goattee asking some older fella to stop swearing and then the old fella getting irate
Yes that was me mate.I was unfortunately sitting next to the older fella.
there were punches thrown in an argument about seats, really pathetic. As for getting behind the team I am sure that the incest song isn't the best way to do that but unfortunately it reared it's ugly head again. However I did visibly see a number of our players raise our game when we got behind them singing 'Stevenage is a shithole I wanna go home' and 'the wheels on the bus'. Away games are being ruined by the minority. That is FACT.
I saw a pair of fat old blokes boxing at the end of the game. It was like a sad version of its a knockout. Quite funny I guess. Also saw one of our fans shove over a steward, you'd think that he'd have been straight out for that, but they put up with it. Despite all the whining I thought the stewards were fairly measured.
You might prefer it at MK Dons then beds addick, bit more placid there.
Either way today the atmosphere was terrible. Luckily that will be the last game it sells out like that.
Unless we get gillingham away in the cup again....
Who said i like it placid? I was singing with the fans today . I was criticising a moron who was out to fight a teenage steward, Perhaps your the type of person who thinks abuse and aggression is correct behaviour?
Sad day when our fans turn against each other (real life or online.)
Online its inevitable. You get kids on Charlton Life ( as we can see on this thread) who never go to the away games and are always spoiling for fight behind the anonymity of a computer screen but when it happens at the game , that's just wrong.

Bet I've been to more away days than you this season, last season and oh probably the last 20 years you fool. Oh and last time I checked, I wasn't a kid.
I was chatting to him during the game and he seemed a nice enough bloke but as soon as the steward asked him to stop swearing he lost it. did you see him at the end of the game ?? Scary.
Wasn't there today but just out of interest who percentage were standing? It is a MUCH better atmosphere if everyone stood. I know the elderly prefer to sit but most clubs seem to stand for the 90 minutes.

A hundred or so at the back but most were sitting. I agree the atmosphere is better when we stand.

Incidently, How is giving constant abuse to stewards getting behind the team?
