So time for some more books in the Charlton Life/Bromley Addicks auctions. We've raised more than £1400 so 70% of the way to our £2,000 target.
All the money is earmarked for new minibuses for the CAFC Academy. Wonder what made Paul Hart stay? yes, it was the promise of new minibuses. FACT
Usual rules. It's an auction which will close on Monday 17th October at 5.00pm. Winner will have to pay postage or be willing to collect/pick up at a game.
Item A: A signed copy of Rick Everitt's long out of print Battle for the Valley. The book is in good condition but there is a tear in the dust sheet at the back.
However to compensate the book has been signed by 14 players. Curbs, Gritt, Walsh, Bumstead, Lee, Nelson, Gatting, Leaburn, Gorman, Webster, Pitcher, Barness, Grant and Bolder.
A must have book for anyone interested in the Club's history. Starting bid £12
Item B: Dave Ramzan's excellent photographic history of the Club. Photos from the birth of the Club upto the 1998 play-off final.
The book is in excellent condition. Starting bid £4
Item C: Three non-Charlton books being sold as one lot.
A 1948 Boys Book of Soccer with a feature and pictures from the 47 final. No dust cover and a broken spine but pages in good condition.
A 1949 FA Book for Boys. In poor condition with some pen marks but still some interesting stories and pictures.
David Coleman's World of Football (1973) with a wealth of black and white and colour pictures from that era. No dust cover but otherwise in very good condition
