Do you honestly believe there is some sort of mystical aura by which the manager of the month award actually has an impact on the next game?
The number of people who believe in this nonsense is ridiculous.
How many times did we win it with Lennie and Curbs? What happened when they won each time? We had a dip in form!
That is a classic example of cherry picking. And even if it that did happen under Lennie and Curbs, I refuse to accept that the manager of the month award caused the team to lose the next game.
I wasn't saying if he won it we would have a dip in form just saying if in goes close every month and never won it we would go up. Five points clear after 11 games and unbeaten and no manager of the month. That's all I was getting at.
I thinks it's called regression to the mean. You win the award after a better than usual run of games, and when you return to average form, it looks like a dip or a jinx.

I'm so pleased you brought this up, it's ridiculous to think that way, what do I think? Well I'm pleased Powell didn't win it, history has shown that players take there foot on the gas and think they've made it, Chris has one aim this season, and I don't think manager of the month is it.

Guy from Notts County...........They lost their next game.
It's jinxed you know, no doubt about it.
Empirical fact, tested by forensic investigation, rigorous statistical analysis and DNA swabs.

I'll get my coat.
