Huddersfields 'unbeaten' league run

Just got me thinking, if the play off final doesn't count, (don't ask me why) then Sasa's clean sheet record would have lasted well into the fourh Prem league game going back from march the season before, Maybe lasting abou 10 & 1/2 league games.
Am I overthinking things working nights?
Probably.

  • So how many games was our unbeaten run that season, plus the unbeaten start to our Prem season that year?
  • It was clean sheets not unbeaten run if you don't include the play off final like Huddersfield don't.

    From memory then, CPL:

8 league wins on the, erm, spin and nought-nought at Brum, p'raps (thankyou, Mr Curbishley) all without conceding.
    Not including playoff games.

    Then Prem:
    0-0 away Newcastle
    5-0 home Southampton
    0-0 away Upyourarsenal

......then the wheels fell off at Man Utd, 1-4 (although we did score first!)

    So .....counts on fingers......12?

It was 8 league wins on the spin before the Birmingham 0-0, but we conceded 2 against Forest in the second of those victories.

So it was 7 *league* clean sheets at the end of 97/98, then 3 at the beginning of 98/99 making a nice round total of 10.

I had to check Soccerbase to work that out, I must admit.
  • Yh, man u scored just befor 1/2 time.
Hence my calculation 10 & 1/2 games without conceding :)
