  • Dave please can you ask Matt, why do you think our form used to fall off a cliff after christmas, and what could have been done to avoid it, and also would he consider going into coaching/ management?
  • Bit of an obvious question, but I'd like to know what his proudest moment was in a Charlton shirt?

And another one: which game does he remember most (good or bad!).

  • Can he remember his shot against Coventry on the last day of the season when he hit the bar from about 40 yds? Had it gone in, would it have been his best ever goal?
  • Can you ask him if he has officially left the club, because I don't recall ever seeing an announcement on the official site ! He had a very low key exit considering the great service he gave to the club.
  • Can you ask him if, when he Captained the Tractor Boys, he broke Marcus Stewart's jaw with his fist after a training ground bust up?
  • Can you ask him how many times a year he needed his kit cleaned? Two at the most I'd say....

Why was his nickname Captain Cleanshorts?
  • In his view, does he believe that we would have seen European football at the Valley, if Parker had stayed till the end of the 2003/2004 season, and does he feel Parker did the right thing by leaving in January of that season?
  • Why does he look like an alien, is his dad E.T.?
  • How does it feel seeing his brother playing so well in our midfield this season?

  • does he remember giving Me an autograph in 2005?
  • Super goal at Elland Road in the 3-3.
  • He had quite a world cup in 2002 with all that happened with Keane and getting Ireland's first goal against Cameroon.

What were the Irish lads opinion on Keane's bust up with Mick McCarthey? Saying that did he prefer playing alongside Kinsella or Keane?
  • Did he ever wonder if he'd actually make it as a top-flight player after being rejected as a kid by Arsenal and West Ham?

How did he feel captaining Ipswich in Europe?
  • Fish fingers and chips? or Sausage and Mash?
  • Top questions, keep 'em coming.
  • I would like to hear Matt's reasoning for our nosedive down through the leagues. Also perhaps Matt's take on Chris Powell as a Manager. Additionally who was the best Manager that Matt played under.
  • Were the players behind Les Reed? I remember he was interviewed just before Les got the sack and he didnt give his backing to him.
  • Which was the better side in his opinion: The Ipswich side that finished 5th or the Charlton side that finished 7th?

And we want an honest answer, not a biased one cos he's on a charlton show, ;-)
  • Bournemouth vs Charlton game - who does he root for?

  • Does he use L'Oréal eyeliner, or Boots No7?

Many fans saw Matt as a jack of all trades midfielder. What did he see as his greatest attribute?
  • Cheers all, keep em coming there is also a thread for Simon Webster who we are catching up with as well.
  • is this a new thing charlton live are doing since cctv took up the lead
  • No we have always asked for questions when we know for sure we have someone in the studio
  • Still got time for more questions if you have any.
  • What did Matt do to upset Talksport? They diss his name all the time.

Has a link to the Les Reed question but I would like to know his view of what would have happened if Dowie hadn't been sacked. I detected (rightly or wrongly) a strong team spirit was there despite our lowly position which seemed to evaporate when he was dismissed.
  • Did he have a flat in Docklands ?

If not, he had a lookalike running around Canary Wharf for years keeping fit.
