Am I right in thinking our longest unbeaten streak was 15 in the 80/81 season? So we're on 12 right now, how far can we take it? Was everyone thinking it and this thread bound to jinx it?

arnt we on 11 right now?
counting last day of last season we are on 12, saying that, dont want any reminder of last campaign near us!
League matches, obviously. So Charlton are unbeaten 11 matches in that competition.
Cup matches are separate competitions - League Cup, JPT, FA Cup are all different and separate competitions. So far we haven beaten in 1 cup competition, unbeaten (yet to play!) in each of the 2 other cup competitions.
Even Chris Powell values each competition differently ...... hence very many changes to the regular League line up in the 2 cup games played.
I realise each competition is given different emphasis by the managemnt and team, but the fact is we were beaten and by a team in our division - not by tough premiership opposition. In my mind the competition and team that played are irrelevant - if we had a bout of food poisoning take out all of our first team for a league game and we lost, it would still count as ending our league unbeaten record and no-one can tell me huddersfield took their play-off semi less seriously than a regular league game. That absolutely counts as part of their unbeaten run. How any team can claim to have broken a club record run of results with that massive scar in the middle of it is beyond me.
I'm not trying to pour scorn on our early season form - it's been impressive and very pleasing but we're unbeaten since we lost to Preston in the cup, no longer than that.

We are both on unbeaten League runs. Play off & cup games not counting.
Blimey, Mourinho even said Chelsea were unbeaten at Stamford Bridge despite losing to us on pens I think.

As Popicon said when starting this thread, we're up to 12 in the league unbeaten, including our last game of last season
What I don't know is: what's our best start to a season in terms of unbeaten games? This must be it, now, right?
