I thought we were clearly better than Sheffield Wednesday at home, but they somehow got away with a draw, so fair play to them...we only won a single point from the match. It seems useless (pointless) to go over old ground the way he has done, stupid question or not.
I think he contradicts himself. He says Charlton & Hudds aren't as strong as Brighton & Soton last season. Yet also says the League is stronger this year & more teams are difficult to beat.
So how come we have more points than Brighton & Soton did at the same stage ?
Not sure I agree with the main thrust of his point - I mean al the relegated teams took points off us and Swindon beat us at the Valley and D&R got 4 points off us. Also, the bottom club (Swindon) got 41 points which is well above the norm. What is so different this season? We are of course finding this season that places like Hartlepool (which was a hard place last season) has become easier -simply because we have become better. I think teams go up and down - we have improved greatly and our like for like record seems to suggest we are at least on a par with Brighton. However, they sustained it over a season , which we still have to do.
Perfectly reasonable for him to be a bit miffed that we got a point against them - they edged that game (although we could have won it), although Brighton and Southampton lost games too last season. I do agree that the standard hasn't got any worse but not sure it has got better!
Basically he is saying it's an exciting league because it is so unpredictable. Probably right saying that.
He disses us a little bit saying we are not as strong as Brighton/Southampton. I still think it is still early days to make comparisons. If BWP stays fit we should be in a great position come May but we shouldn't count our chickens yet.
Haha, is this his idea of Jose Mourinho-style psychology? Trying to put us off our game by suggesting we're not that good. And I don't really understand his suggestion that the league is highly unpredictable - Certainly teams can lose or win games you wouldn't expect, but Charlton, Huddersfield, Sheff Weds, Sheff Utd and MK Dons being the top 5 is hardly a huge surprise.

In my opinion we are not - but are not far behind them. results show that we are as good but our performances ( apart from the last two) have not been as prolific.
i don't think we'll do as well as soton did last season..... 92 points from 46 games
soton's 16th game last season saw them lose 3-2 in a local derby with carlisle and they only took 901 fans for the simple direct one stop train journey and they were flying high in 10th on 24 points after the game

He's hardly going to say Charlton and Huddersfield are going to run away with it so we might as well just aim for the play-offs.
