Wiggins

Just been chatting to his aunt's old man down the pub. He wanted championship but was so impressed with Charlton plans / aspirations joined us, not Watford or Burnley. Loves it - Bournemouth used to fork out for team bonding execise - says no need at Charlton, soon as you turn up you are part of a fantastic team. Players not selected understand role - one aim, no whinging whatsoever. His old man has a Chelsea s/t but prefers (not surprisingly) to get down The Valley where he loves the set-up / way they are looked after.

Apparently, he is full of CAFC and we are nailed on as champions.

Learnt from others down the pub that Danny Hollands went to Sunbury Manor school as a kid

With that other Charlton leg-end Marcus Bent?
  • Sorry, I think he went to St Pauls down the road. Obviously Didn't buy into the Catholic thing of no sex before marriage.
  • You are right leg - end went to St Pauls, you from round here ?
  • Staines, know guys that played against him at school. Where is he now? Funny one of last games he played for us, friendly at Swindon he put in a proper shift and was virtually unplayable. I would prefer him to Euell even now.
  • Great being a Charlton fan round here, I love it with all the Chelsea around. Disagree with u Euell / M Bent though.

Geezers I was chatting to (pub side) remember both Hollands and Bent from schooldays, most seemed ro recall "win the ball and give it to Danny".

Don't know where he is now, girl I worked with, her mum used to like him 'cos he was very polite and left his shoes in the porch - lol

  • Hollands had a Chelsea upbringing, before signing for Bournemouth.

Whatever we may think about Chelsea, good pedigree for any young player..
  • Cheers sunbury, good to hear
