'I was expecting a contest' 'Contest weren't it. Contest.' 'Nothink there. Nothink there at 'll fella'
Absolutely superb. He was having a pwoper tasty touch weren't e. Personally he had more interest in what he had to say, than Roberts or Savage. I really get little insight off them.
My life, some people on here have clearly had a sense of humour by-pass.
He sounded like a bloke from South London. Funny that, given that we're a South London club. He wasn't offensive and he had a little giggle with the hosts.
I wouldn't necessarily agree with everything he said, the same as I wouldn't agree with everything my mates said when we were having a pre or post match pint, but isn't that the point of a phone-in?
Jeez, as I said earlier in the thread, if you want to hearing embarrassing then have a listen to the plum on after him talking about the referee being "entitled" to send Rodwell off. Then again, that was probably someone from on here ........................!
I agree with most of what you said off_it...............but not all of it. ;-)
How we laughed, some right po faced people on here earlier in thread. He has a fair point we went Saturday expecting a near run thing and a point would have been accepted by most, what was really pleasing was that the crowd and Sheff Utd seemed more worried about losing than winning and when we stepped on gas for 10 minutes took the game away from them. As for spanners comments, classic. Think he was right showed Sheff Utd as a club that talk big but don't deliver. They might come back strongly later but Saturday must have really given their morale a kicking. Hope call knocked supporters faith too and that they get on back of Sheff Utd over next few games.
And he was right bout Sheffield after games, had some silent walks there over the years.
Just listened to this and I know exactly who he is - he's not on here, but you may well find him in the Angerstein every Saturday....
Nope. Steve lives in Lancs and I've known him for 30 years. He memorably went in the home end at the 1995 snow contest at the New Den and pretended to be a Millwall supporter, winding their fans up about how bad their team was. He was involved with Voice of The Valley for many years - and he really does talk like that, despite actually being a grammar school boy from Sidcup.

Ah, I stand corrected then....apologies...Steve in the Ang obviously does a great impression of Steve in Lancs!

He was right about some of the thing though aswell.
You wouldn't walk through Sheffiield singing after a 2-0 win normally.
