"wear your colours; hats and scarves"
So as we bask in an Indian summer Bromley Addicks/Charlton Life offers some winter warmers as part of the on-going auctions to raise money for the CAFC Academy.
Item A is a pair of slightly different Junior Reds scarves from, I believe the 80s as seen in the recent VIP poster sale. Faded and with some tassels missing but would be ideal for anyone who has two young fans, twins even : - ) Opening bid £3
Item B is more scarves. A classic plain red and white bar scarf, which is hard to date but I would say 70s and a double sided (red + white/Blue + black) again hard to date but 80s would be my guess. Both in very good condition Opening bid £3
Item C is another of the Classic 80's ski hats that went for £44 for 4 last time out. Good condition and good colour. A must have item on the terraces back in the day when there were still terraces and "Lennie Lawrence's Red and White Army" rang forth up and down the land. Opening bid £6
As ever winners have to collect or pay postage. Auction end's Monday 3rd October at 5.00
Happy bidding.
Comments
If you've not read any of the two dozen previous auctions for the same cause then fair enough but it says in the first post.
Now moving on, are you all waiting for 4.58pm on Monday?
thanks henry
Surprised as the auction for the last batch was frantic.
Still, plenty of time yet and Shag might want to complete his set.
£7.50 for Junior Red Scarves.
Current bids
A: Jnr Red Scarves £7.50 Hwakefield
B: £15 Bar scarf and double sided Scarf
C: Ski Hat - No bids
It looks like the ski hat was made by nintendo.
When all the new fans start to follow Chrissy Powell's Red and White Army in the Championship next year and the Premiership the year later you'll be glad you bought these scarves or the hat.
Wearing one of these will mark you out as long serving "proper Charlton" not some JCL.
You NEED that hat.
