I am sorry if this has already been posted (I couldn't see it).

Interview With Chris Powell in the Southend Echo

Some of you may want to respond to Mrjbutt who calls Chris a "Fundemental racist bigot" I kid you not.

  • Interesting point made by one commentator about why not ensure one woman and one Asian etc is interviewed too.
  • Mrjbutt has serious issues and misses the point completely. How dare he say that about Chrissie P!

  • Oh dear...
“There are a lot of other guys who are black and have been coaches before, including Richard Shaw and my number two at Charlton, Chris Dyer.“But there are a lot of guys who get lost in the game because they just see they have not been given a chance in management.”
Oh, the irony. Poor Alex has got so lost in the game, that this reporter doesn't even know what his name is.
And Mr Butthead surely can't have even read the article properly can he?

I think the rule would be worded such that one person of a minority group must be interviewed. In that way it would include all those group. I don't think legally you could get away with listing any specific group, but it would make the rule kind of pointless as a club could easily say they have interviewed somebody from a minority and then pick something like Dyslexia or even be silly and say Left Handed, unless of course there is a legal definition of minority group.
  • I'm left handed and asian can I have two interviews please
  • I've responded.

Hope you don't mind Lord Romford, but I used your Alex Dyer argument.

"What a fundemental racist bigot this man is. Sport playing or managing
is based solely on ability. If not sport fails. How arrogant to say I am
black therefore I am better than anyone else that is not Black. Such
items in newspapers are wrong. Racism must not be encourged even when
    its Black racism"

I actually read that as a dig at the journo and the interview/article, Not at Chris Powell.

He could have worded it better though.
