    Perfect night. The 2 sheffield clubs lost. We've no longer got the distraction of the league cup & Powell will now know our squad depth isn't as good as he may have thought after the Reading game (& that we DO need another striker)

    Huddersfield haven't lost in the league since December apparently :-O 

    I'd say they're the ones to watch!

    Absolutely , i think it will be a really tough game , and we are going to have to be 'at it ' from the 1st whistle , if we want the right result, after the 1st half performance away to Bury , i'm not taking this one lightly at all.

    United heavy defeat tonight, but its nothing to be ashamed of against a strong team like hudders

    That result could affect Sheff U. A heavy loss against a promotion rival will dent their morale big time. 
    It will also give Hudds a big lift aswell which isnt good for us tbh!.. 4 wins 4 draws for them so they are still unbeaten... in 33 league games that is.
    Definately a force.

    does it matter what others do at this stage of the season. it's how we perform that matters. the league table is not everything and being top is great tonight, but i'd rather be 3rd-4th all season then top in may. the dons were top going into last saturday and got tonked by wednesday and look what happened to them tonight at stevenage. this league has results that dont make sense, each team can beat anyone on any given day. i doubt there will be a brighton/southampton this season from whats on show so far.

    looking forward to saturday though. it'll be my daugther's first game aged 10 and she tells me she supports sheff u. tut, tut.

    Preston have two games in hand on most teams and are on a winning run too.

    Being top is great but far too early to start calling things yet. 

    When the "big" names start playing each other (like SUFC v HTFC last night) things will become clearer.
