"In other words, the award tends to be given to the coaches of teams who for a short while have recorded results which are much better than normal. After the award their results simply return to normal."
I'm sure Powell will win it at some point over the course of the season.

According to this logic, let's hope he never wins it as that could mean we have had no period of bad results to recover from
Les Parry was dead favourite to be first manager sacked in our league this season and has already got Tranmere to 11 points when they were favs to go down too. He should of got it for me.

Agree just like MOTM always goes to the goal scorer.
You can't really argue though - nobody espected Franchise FC to make such a good start and be top, did they?
Karl Robinson has deserved his award; let's now hope his results "return to normal", whatever that means.
Good shout for Parry at Tranmere btw, really good start for predicted relegation fodder. It's a shame that managers who produce a miracle rarely get the proper recognition.
Reading reports from the MK game it sounded as if Wednesday literally had 3 chances and scored with each of them and MK were by far the better side especially in the first half

That'll teach Robinson for practically smirking on Sky after our game vs Wednesday

Thank heavens for that !
Second only to the curse of attending a NWKA meeting is the manager of the Month accolade.
There's a shock, the award went to the manager of the team at the top. I imagine the player of the month aslo went to the player who scored the most.
Totally pointless award which they should either do properly or not do at all.
