I, probably like alot of supporters attend mid-week matches straight from work. This means I have my bag with me, containing work stuff, lunch box, book, etc. For the last few mid-week home games(inc last season) I have never had it searched, indeed I haven't seen any stewards after the turnstiles. There are always stewards there on a Saturday searching bags, so why not in mid-week? Is it because I arrive closer to kick off than I would on a Saturday, and stewards have already taken up their game positions? Is it that the club thinks the crowds will be smaller, and save money by employing less stewards? Or is there another reason? I don't mind being searched, just curious as to why there doesn't seem to be bag searches in mid-week, when potentially, if people are coming from work like me, there could be more bags.
